Position Overview:
Avexon is seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer to join our Managed Services team, specializing in data center operations, enterprise networking, and post-sales technical support. This role involves working directly with clients to design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure while providing advanced technical expertise after the sale. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring projects are delivered on time, systems remain reliable, and customer satisfaction stays high. Fieldwork, occasional travel, and lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Center OperationsDeploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
Manage storage systems (SAN/NAS), backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans.
Perform hardware installation, racking/cabling, and data center capacity management.
Networking
Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
Configure and manage network appliances including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced networking issues for multiple clients.
Post-Sales Support
Collaborate with solution delivery team to review project scopes, validate technical requirements, and ensure successful deployment.
Act as Tier 3 escalation for client support tickets, ensuring SLA compliance.
Provide onboarding, training, and documentation for client IT teams.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
Customer Engagement
Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive system health checks.
Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements and technology upgrades.
Serve as a technical consultant for strategic IT planning.
Mandatory Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in IT systems and network engineering, preferably in a Managed Services environment.
Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and Windows/Linux server administration.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPNs).
Experience with NGFW firewalls, switches, and wireless systems (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Unifi, etc.).
Knowledge of backup/recovery solutions (Cohesity, Datto, Veeam, Zerto, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, VCP, Aruba, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft/Azure Administrator.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud).

The ConnectWise Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the ConnectWise platform to support efficient operations, service delivery, and reporting for the organization. This role ensures data integrity, workflow automation, and system integrations that enhance productivity for technical, sales, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
Configure and maintain ConnectWise Manage, Automate, Control, and related modules.
Manage user accounts, permissions, roles, and security settings.
Maintain service boards, workflows, SLAs, and ticket templates.
System Optimization & Automation
Create and maintain custom workflows, alerts, and dashboards to improve efficiency.
Automate routine processes and reporting using ConnectWise features and APIs.
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues.
Integration Management
Configure and maintain integrations with third-party tools (RMM, PSA, billing, CRM, etc.).
Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth interoperability between ConnectWise and other systems.
Reporting & Analytics
Build and maintain custom reports, KPIs, and dashboards to track service delivery, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
Provide management with actionable insights based on platform data.
Training & Support
Provide end-user support and training for internal staff.
Create and maintain user guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Compliance & Security
Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Regularly review access rights and perform security audits.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a ConnectWise Administrator or in a similar role within an MSP or IT services environment.
Strong understanding of PSA/RMM concepts, ITIL processes, and service management best practices.
Proficiency with ConnectWise Manage, Automate, Control, and related tools.
Experience with API integrations, reporting, and data analysis preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2–4 years of ConnectWise or PSA/RMM administration experience.
