We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join a leading healthcare facility. This role involves working independently with physicians as part of a large cardiac team, providing acute cardiac interventions, patient education, and outpatient follow-up care. The position requires proficiency with cath lab equipment, electronic health records, and participation in quality improvement efforts. This is a travel contract offering $60-65/hr on a W-2 basis with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
Monitor cardiac patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedureConduct thorough patient assessmentsAssist physicians during cardiac catheterization and vascular proceduresRespond promptly to cardiac emergenciesAdminister medications as per protocolsSet up and maintain cath lab equipmentDocument care and procedures accurately in electronic health recordsPerform on-call duties including holiday and weekend coverageCollaborate effectively within the cardiac team
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years cardiac nursing experienceBachelor's Degree in Nursing
