    Job Title: Account Executive (AV Integration & Managed Services)

    Location: Detroit, MI; Travel Required

    Position Type: Full time permanent

    Summary:
    The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing client relationships within the Audio-Visual (AV) Integration and Managed Services space. This is an outside sales role requiring a consultative approach to identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions, including hardware, software, design, installation, and ongoing support services.

    The role involves frequent client interaction, including on-site meetings, presentations, and proposal development. The Account Executive partners closely with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure solutions align with client objectives and are delivered effectively.

    Strong working knowledge of AV systems-such as video conferencing, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, and classroom or conference room technologies-is essential. Success in this role requires the ability to build trust, navigate technical discussions, and manage longer sales cycles across diverse client environments.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Generate new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customersIdentify, qualify, and pursue prospective clients through regular outreach and meetingsConduct on-site visits, deliver presentations, and develop client proposalsAchieve established sales and profit goals through consistent performance and customer engagementAnalyze sales reports to track progress against monthly and annual targets and adjust strategies as neededCollaborate with engineering, installation, service, and purchasing teams to ensure successful execution of solutionsWork with sales leadership to establish pricing strategies, promotions, and service offerings tailored to market needsMaintain a high level of customer service and ensure timely resolution of customer concernsMonitor expense accounts and ensure alignment with budget guidelinesProtect company assets through accurate handling of invoices, work orders, and credit transactionsFollow all sales and operational processes and proceduresStay informed on industry trends, products, and market opportunities through training, publications, and eventsSubmit accurate and timely reports and maintain consistent communication with sales leadershipEnsure compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and labor lawsPerform additional duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related fieldStrong knowledge of AV systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, sound systems, and control technologiesProven ability to manage consultative sales processes and long sales cyclesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to handle complex situations involving multiple variables and maintain professionalism under pressureValid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to customer and vendor sitesAbility to work effectively across internal departments including engineering, service, and operations
    Preferred Qualifications
    Industry certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) preferredAccount experience with the below a plus:
