    Job Title: In-field X-Ray Service Technician

    Description: Traveling electrical/mechanical technician for in-field services to security X-ray equipment

    Location: Saint Louis, MO (approx.)

    Terms: Salaried In-Field Position

    Requirements:

    • 3+ Years repair technician experience

    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently

    • Proficiency in servicing and repairing large machines/appliances

    • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, manuals, and work instructions

    • Reliable personal transportation

    • Travel weekly within designated region

    • Physical ability to work low to the ground and lift loads up to 50lbs.

    Preferences:

    • Experience with X-ray equipment a plus

    • Experience in electrical wiring, test instrumentation, and equipment troubleshooting to component level

    • Degree in electronic or mechanical technology, or similar experience

    • PC literacy (Google & Microsoft applications)

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Performing repairs and maintenance services to customers in the Mid to Southern regions of the US

    • Prompt, professional communication with Autoclear customers regarding troubleshooting and scheduling

    • Diagnosing electrical or mechanical issues from in-field failures

    • Comprehensive reporting on in-field findings for trend analysis

    • Periodic travel (~2x annually) to Autoclear HQ

    Autoclear designs and manufactures advanced security X-ray scanners, metal detection systems, and explosive/narcotics detection equipment used by government agencies, airports, military organizations, customs facilities, and public venues worldwide.

    We are seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer with strong experience in PCB design, FPGA integration, ARM-based embedded systems, and analog/digital electronics to support new product development and field diagnostics.

    What You’ll Work On

    Design and review printed circuit boards (PCBs) for embedded electronic systemsDevelop and troubleshoot analog and digital circuitsIntegrate ARM microcontrollers, AVR devices, and FPGAsCreate schematics using Altium Designer or OrCADPerform hardware validation using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimetersSupport switch-mode power supplies and high-voltage X-ray generator systemsCreate test procedures for pre-test and final production testingCollaborate with R&D, software, and field service teams to diagnose system failures and improve reliability

    JOB:

    5+ years experience as an electronics technician required.  You must be capable of reading and interpreting schematics, drawings and equipment specifications.  Experience in electrical wiring, test instrumentation and troubleshooting equipment are extremely important.  Background should include a degree in electronic or mechanical technology, or similar experience, strong analog, digital and mechanical background, and PC literacy.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
