Utility Specialist Driver Austin Industrial provides premier self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft service to leading industrial companies across the U.S. An industry leader for more than 60 years, we offer single-source solutions to our customers in the oil, gas, chemical, food, agriculture, power, and manufacturing industries. The Driver will be picking up, hauling, and unloading various oil field related fluids. These fluids are pulled from customers' various oil field locations where the fluid is collected in tanks or other containers. These fluids may include a variety of well bore fluids such as fresh water, brine (salt) water, crude oil, frac fluids and other associated servicing fluids. All duties of the Vacuum Truck Operator are to be performed according to the Company operating procedures to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and efficiently perform the task. This is to be accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Hauls and disposes of oilfield chemicals and by-products using a straight truck and trailer following EPA and DOT guidelines Operates a vacuum tractor and trailer unit (18-wheel tractor and trailer unit or a Bob-tail wheel unit with a trailer-mounted tank) Operates all intake and discharge valves, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties Performs safety inspections as required by DOT, and maintains a DOT driver log Completes work tickets and maintains daily inventory of tools, fittings, and hose connections on the unit Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor trailer unit, hoses, fittings, and valves Maintains exemplary customer service Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required for this Position: Education: no minimum education requirements. Certification/License : CDL Class A or B and Tanker Endorsement, a Valid Driver's License, and a TWIC Card. Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience. Physical, Mental exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; effectively manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
