    Responsibilities :
    The Security Host/Hostess performs protective and enforcement functions in a courteous and professional manner while dealing with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, threats to life and propertyAs a first responder, will be trained on Infant, Child and Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defribrillator (AED), Stop The Bleed Training and fire extinguisher procedures to respond to emergencies as neededConduct interior and exterior Resort foot patrol to identify undesirable conditionsEvaluate a situation and quickly make logical decisions on how to proceed while maintaining a calm demeanorInvestigations, including evaluation of the scene, interviewing complainants and witnesses, involve correct personnel to assist with the investigationDocumentation and report writingMaintain order in the Resort while attending to the needs of our guests, cast members and vendorsCoordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, alarms, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, persuasive mannerHandle violations of Resort policy, civil laws and undesired conduct Work with state of the art technology to detect and respond to safety systemsProvide cash escorts for cashiers to/from cash room to their work station Respond to security and emergency calls and prioritize the work in a timely manner Use of complex consoles to receive calls from guests, cast members and vendors requiring assistance and dispatches to resolve situations – will maintain logs of all requestsProvide key assistIssue contractor and visitor badges Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system for any unusual activity and dispatch via two-way radioProvide accurate information to guests, cast members and vendors seeking directions and hours of operationReceive, record and secure found property – will also research and respond to guests inquiries for lost propertyEscort guests and cast members as required to parking lotsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Basic Qualifications :
    Must be at least 18 years of ageValid State of Hawaii Guard CardExcellent communication skillsA successful candidate will have experience as a first responder – related experience that best aligns with the day to day operation may include:Hotel/Resort Security Guard/Officer experienceSuccessfully completed basic training in the MilitaryLoss Prevention and/or Plain Clothes Operatives experienceHigh pressure situational experience such as Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter, Flight AttendantStrong verbal, written and technology skills required Keyboarding skills 25 WPM Investigation skillsPerform general clerical duties using Microsoft Office and other site specific programsA good sense of direction as will learn and memorize Resort layout to include the locations of fire pull stations, fire extinguisher, AED, standpipes and moreSelf-directed (can complete tasks with minimal follow up/supervision)Maintain strong observation skills with high level of detail and scrutiny for entire shift

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Associates Degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Private Investigations, Homeland Security, Emergency Management and/or Emergency Medical Services Strong understanding of Hawaii Revised Statues; particularly those that apply to Hotel/Resort destinations (such as trespassing, etc.)Knowledge of Hawaiian/ Japanese language

    Basic Qualifications :

    Responsibilities :

    Troubleshoot Equipment Faults:

    Should demonstrate proper operation of audio, lighting, automation, video and projection systems and be able to detect when systems are not operating properly. Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, schematics and diagrams. Knowledge of system interaction with sound and electrician crafts also required. Often requires work indoors in dimly lit and dark conditions.Remove and Install Equipment:Removal and installation of Audio/Video/Projection/Lighting equipment, assemblies and components utilizing hand tools, power tools and technical documents. Requires the use of both hands above and below the waist, climbing, working in confined areas, lifting, bending, stooping, sitting, laying, crawling and exposure to high noise, heat, cold, dust and dirt.Material handling, including lifting, holding, carrying and manipulation of objects up to 50 pounds alone or in teams. Requires bending/twisting at the waist, working with arms raised overhead and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 20 lbs. (constantly) and up to 50 lbs. (frequently).Preventive Maintenance Inspections:Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in written job plans to ensure venues open safely and on-time. Must be able to read, understand and follow checklists to properly verify and inspect equipment. Requires the use of hands, color and visual acuity as well as the use of flashlight and assorted tools. Exposure to heat, cold, sunlight and dampness.Operational and Functional Checks:Start and operate audio, lighting, electrical, video and projection systems to verify proper operation. Must be able to safely operate equipment and know what actions to take in the event of equipment failure or emergency. Must be able to operate shows both solo as well as part of a team.
