AtWork is seeking a skilled Sit down forklift and Reach Truck Operator to join our client's dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sit down lifts or Reach Trucks, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes. If you have experience using hoists, it is a plus.
Hours: 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday, with OT on Fridays.
$18.00 per hour-paid weekly

ResponsibilitiesOperate reach trucks safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.Perform order picking duties using RF scanners and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all materials are handled according to OSHA safety standards.Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting tasks.Utilize clamp trucks for handling specific types of materials as needed.ExperiencePrevious experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes, including the use of RF scanners. 1-2 years recent experience operating Reach Trucks. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling best practices. Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Prior experience in a warehouse environment will be considered an asset.
