    Responsibilities:

    Research and evaluate enterprise networking solutions and provide recommendations to senior leadershipDesign, implement, support and perform life cycle management of Brocade switches, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco routers, Cisco FirePower firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Aruba wireless controllers Provide Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment; collaborate with cross-functional teams and acting as a networking subject-matter expert to support, troubleshoot, and implement enterprise IT solutions Integrate networking infrastructure with enterprise monitoring, alerting, security auditing and management, log collection and analysis, intrusion detection and prevention, etc. Update existing documentation, and create new documentation as needed, including network diagrams, requirements documents, project plans, asset inventory, etc.

    Qualifications:

    Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 maximum salary range. The salary range may vary based on years of relevant professional experience, skillset, education and federal government contract experience.

    Required Qualifications:

    Job Duties:

    Oversee contractors support systems for the High-Level Waste (HLW) facility to ensure compliance with established criteria, sound engineering principles and professional practices through assessments, surveillances, design reviews and other oversight functions consistent with DOE-PRO-CIPE-50085, Integrated Oversight.Identify and report contractor performance in Integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS).Provide options for issue resolution, if discovered.Conduct critical assessments to identify the cause of technical problems encountered in the HLW facility. This work requires comprehensive and professional knowledge of several engineering disciplines to include, but not limited to:Software I&CElectrical, mechanical and chemical engineeringSupport systems including water and HVACIdentify compliance, omissions, discrepancies, inadequacies and nonconformance against approved criteria, procedures or regulations.Coordinate oversight with multiple organizations and disciplines to ensure operability, quality and safety of systems and components.Consult with engineers or technical staff in other organizational units, industry, DOE Headquarters (HQ), regulatory agencies and stakeholder groups to assist in issue resolution.Provide technical advice and consultation to a multidisciplinary professional and technical group of personnel engaged in carrying out the HLW Project.Validate the implementation of program requirements for the HLW facility.Identify and assist in the mitigation of risks associated with HLW and supporting facilities.Consult with engineering, construction, external DOE startup entities and other various entities to recommend corrective actions and identify opportunities to reduce risks associated with HLW and supporting facilities.Follow up on issues, adverse conditions and other areas of concern to ensure corrective actions are implemented correctly.Review HLW technical products to include:Component and system requirementsSafety, risk reduction and reliability designsStartup test indices (STIs)Contractor field work executionProcess and procedure complianceTechnical requirements implementationParticipate in staff meetings.Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
