    Job DescriptionJob Description

Help build and run Maryland's first non-hospital-affiliated Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF). This is a founding leadership role: one Registered Nurse to manage the daily operations of the Columbia clinic and deliver hands-on nursing care, including IV placement and infusion services, at the center of a physician-directed program.

    ROLE SUMMARY

The RN Clinic Manager is the operational anchor of the Columbia facility and a hands-on clinician. You will run day-to-day clinic operations, coordinate front-office and clinical support staff, and personally deliver nursing care including peripheral IV placement, infusion administration, and injection services across the facility's prehabilitation, rehabilitation, medical weight loss, and IV therapy programs. You report directly to the Medical Director and work in close partnership with the founding physician team.

    CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Place peripheral IVs and administer infusions, including hydration and nutrient IV therapy and physician-ordered medication infusions.
    - Monitor patients during and after infusions, including vital signs, adverse reaction recognition, and response per written protocols.
    - Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections for the medical weight loss program per physician orders.
    - Perform nursing assessments, wound checks, and post-procedure care for rehabilitation patients.
    - Document all care in compliance with Medicare CORF requirements, COMAR 10.07.18, and the Maryland Nurse Practice Act.

    OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Open and close the clinic; own the daily schedule, patient flow, and room utilization.
    - Coordinate and supervise front desk and clinical support staff.
    - Own inventory, supply and medication stock, ordering, and vendor coordination.
    - Maintain personnel files, license verification trackers, immunization records, and training logs in survey-ready condition.
    - Execute the facility's infection control program and emergency preparedness drills, with documentation to CMS requirements.
    - Run intake workflows from referral to first visit, including benefits verification handoffs.
    - Participate in the quality improvement program: track incidents, collect outcomes data, and prepare monthly quality reports for the Medical Director.
    - Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for referring practices, patients, and vendors.

    SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Practice occurs within the full scope of the Maryland Nurse Practice Act under the nurse's own RN license. All medications, infusions, and treatments are administered pursuant to physician orders and physician-directed plans of care consistent with 42 CFR 410.105 and COMAR 10.07.18, with clinical oversight and written protocols provided by the Medical Director.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Maryland, or a multistate compact license recognized by Maryland.
    - Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
    - Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in a charge nurse, lead, or supervisory capacity.
    - Demonstrated proficiency in peripheral IV placement and infusion administration.
    - Current BLS certification; ACLS current at hire or obtained within 60 days of start.
    - Experience in outpatient, ambulatory, infusion, or perioperative settings.
    - Working comfort with Medicare documentation, HIPAA, and infection control in a regulated healthcare environment.
    - Clean background check and current immunization records per federal CORF requirements.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Prior clinic manager, practice manager, or nurse supervisor experience in an outpatient setting.
    - Infusion center, IV therapy, or procedural monitoring experience.
    - Experience preparing for or participating in CMS, Joint Commission, or state licensure surveys.
    - EMR or practice-software administration experience.
    - Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

    SCHEDULE, LOCATION, AND COMPENSATION

    - On-site at 8815 Centre Park Drive, Columbia, MD 21045. This is an in-person role; remote work is not available.
    - Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional Saturday availability by appointment only.
    - Compensation: $30 per hour (1099 independent contractor).

AthleticsMD® complies with all applicable U.S. federal and Maryland state laws and regulations governing healthcare employment, contractor classification, clinical licensure, patient privacy (HIPAA), and rehabilitation facility operations.

    LONG-TERM OUTLOOK

This engagement begins as a 1099 independent contractor role. As the program matures, AthleticsMD® intends to transition committed founding clinicians toward W-2 employment status with a benefits package, including health, retirement, and CEU support, to be defined and mutually agreed upon. The current contractor structure reflects the early-stage capital posture of a brand-new licensed facility, not a long-term staffing philosophy.

    SELECTION PROCESS

AthleticsMD® intends to fill this position within 15 days. Apply through ZipRecruiter with a current CV or resume. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide copies of active Maryland licensure and certification and two professional references. A Zoom interview is conducted within one week of application review, followed by an in-person interview and facility tour at the Columbia, MD location.
