Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position involves caring for oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy infusions, as well as patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, or symptom management needs.
The unit has 24 beds, and patient ratios typically range from 5:1 to 6:1. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Travel nurses must be able to float to other units as needed to meet patient care demands.
This is an auto-offer position — qualified candidates meeting the requirements may be offered without interview. Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical telemetry patients.Administer chemotherapy infusions and monitor patients for side effects or complications.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and manage telemetry monitoring equipment.Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR system.Collaborate closely with physicians, oncology specialists, and interdisciplinary teams.Maintain adherence to infection control, safety, and facility protocols.Float to additional units as needed to support patient care coverage.Work rotating holidays and every third weekend as part of the unit schedule.Qualifications
