    The Executive Protection (EP) and Event Security Lead is a critical member of our organization that oversees the safety and security of the Executive Management Team and coordination of security protocols for a variety of high-profile events. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security management, threat assessment and strategic planning. The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of security professionals, developing and implementing balanced security protocols in line with our culture and industry and ensuring the highest level of protection for all designated individuals, events and properties.RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute a comprehensive executive protection program and strategy that aligns with the organizations goals and objectives Manage and lead a team of security professionals across a matrixed environment Update and test emergency response plans and crisis management protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of executives during critical incidents Conduct thorough risk assessments and regularly update security protocols to mitigate potential threats to executives and company assets Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management detailing security initiatives, incidents, risk assessments and recommended actions for improvement Oversee and/or directly participate in the development and implementation of security plans in support of company special events Develop and direct team exercises to enhance preparedness and identify training opportunities and/or security vulnerabilities Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders such as HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive support staff, leadership across parent departments, and other key internal partners Stay informed on the latest security trends, technologies, industry best practices and emerging threats to continuously enhance the organizations security measures Remain on-call and available to manage security-related emergenciesSKILL SETS Strong people leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team and collaborate with cross-functional departments A customer focused mindset with strong business acumen and strategic influence The ability to find common ground and viable solutions to complex problems in a highly collaborative environment In-depth knowledge of security protocols, threat assessment methodologies and risk management strategies Proven crisis management experience and ability to lead during critical incidents Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations The ability to navigate ambiguity with ease and exercise a high degree of autonomy in decision making while adapting to and championing change Demonstrated discretion, professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and high-profile individuals A strong external safety and security network to support the team in benchmarking exercises, development opportunities and participation in industry eventsEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Proven experience in managerial level administrative tasks associated with Executive Protection programs Valid U.S. drivers license and U.S. passport Bachelor's Degree At least 10 years experience in executive protection, security management or a related field in a corporate security environment with at least 7 years in a leadership role CPR, Basic First Aid Training and AED certification at time of hire Familiarization with various firearms, weapons and de-escalation tactics Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification preferred but not required Experience with residential alarm systems, CCTV, and digital video systems integration Graduate of reputable executive protection training program Evasive / defensive driver training Experience in various defensive tactics including use of force and de-escalation Established relationships with law enforcement, intelligence communities, threat management and industry specific organizations such as ATAP, IPSB, CEPLC, ASIS and others Proficient in Google suite products VA DCJS or FLEOSA preferred but not requiredGENERAL REQUIREMENTSJob may require standing, sitting, moving for extended periods of time Exposure to extreme environmental conditions occurs occasionally Individual will be required to travel 25% at a minimum Ability to work in an on-call capacity, including weekends and/or holidays with little notice Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodationBenefitsHealth benefitsDentalVision401(k)paid holidaysUp to 7 weeks PTOPersonal Gym ReimbursementFor more information about our company, culture, and mission, please visit our website:http://at-riskinternational.com/

  • Senior Executive Protection Specialist

    DESCRIPTIONThis key consultant position provides expert consulting and training services in executive protection. The position requires the successful candidate to proactively engage with a broad range of stakeholders over a large geographical and organizational range. Through the creation, development, improvement and delivery of AT-RISK behavioral threat assessment and management training, this position contributes to company efforts to enhance our clients level of knowledge, preparedness, and responsiveness on executive protection and related topics.
    The candidate selected must understand security and executive protection in the context of corporate security and public safety. The position requires that the individual be and stay informed of current security industry trends and corresponding external resources which support the consulting initiatives and will proactively stay connected to applicable thought leadership.
    MAIN DUTIES & QUALITIES Assist in implementing company goals for AT-RISK internal professional development and client-facing consulting and training programs, including but not limited to: Executive protection curriculum development across a variety of security topics and in several learning modalities (in-person, on-demand, virtual live, and asynchronous options), Facilitate courses through learning management system, Facilitate quality control of curriculum, resources, and training attendance records, Be a high-energy, accountable self-starter who independently initiates consulting and training program ideas and implements goals. Be a positive team player to integrate independent ideas with company vision. Assist leadership for consulting and training center initiatives, requirements, personnel and partners. Collaborate with AT-RISK stakeholders for consulting and training program implementation and sustainment.
    RESPONSIBILITIES Provide expert assessment and recommendations to clients on a variety of executive protection areas. Liaison with law enforcement and other executive protection partners, as necessary. Collaborate with appropriate internal AT-RISK partners to effectuate executive protection project consultation and training delivery. Possess strong briefing and presentation skills. Possess strong writing and communication skills. Consistently update Salesforce with relevant prospect, client, and project data, including detailed notes and accurate data fields, to maintain up-to-date records and support accurate reporting. Teach classes and provide executive protection training through AT-RISK and/or partner instructors Provide input in leveraged technology to produce training content for remote audiences and attendees, to include populating AT-RISKs LMS with training library. Participate in networking and exhibition events partnered with the marketing team to engage new attendees Assist in conducting periodic and annual reviews of all consulting and/or training materials and update them as necessary Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the consulting and/or training program using established department metrics, system data, and customer feedback Assist in expanding the training programs scope through strategic partnerships Assist in developing thought leadership content, in coordination with marketing, including blogs, articles, social media posts, and promotional materials.

Technically savvy and experienced in the areas of virtual communications and video production. Comfort with public speaking and presentations. Ability to adjust communications skills to apply to diverse audiences (i.e. Must be able to adjust communication styles seamlessly across a variety of audiences. For example, executives, high net worth families, corporations, schools, staff workers)
    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Must be an executive protection professional who has extensive experience (10+ years) practicing and instructing all levels of executive protection. Must have prior experience preparing course material and successfully instructing application of executive protection principles and other security topics as applied in operational environments. BONUS, but not required: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or other certifications are a plus but not required.
