We are a fast-growing, dynamic company seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our headquarters in City of Industry, CA.

    Job Summary:

    The mechanical engineer will be responsible for the design, product improvement and troubleshooting of Astrophysics x-ray systems. This includes building prototypes, testing new designs, creating reports, assisting the manufacturing floor with malfunctioning equipment. When necessary, the engineer will be required to travel, domestically and internationally, for purposes of training, installing or testing. Coordinate with Sales and Operations personnel to translate customer requirements into reliable, cost-effective, and easy to manufacture products.

    Essential Functions:

    Translate customer requirements into detailed designs. Apply engineering principles into researching, designing, developing, and testing products and systems that are low in cost and reproducible while maintaining high standards in quality. Work with fabricators to develop product prototypes. Resolve engineering problems that surface through a product's development cycle. Work with operations, service, and customers to resolve design issues with current products. Ensure projects are completed in compliance with all internal policies and ISO. Complete all required documentation when releasing new designs including ECRs, ENFs, BOMs, etc. Review all mechanical specifications; update and create drawings, brochures, datasheets, etc. Employ design principles for ease of manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability. Prepare assembly and packaging instructions and provide training to production, shipping, service, operations, and other departments.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree or greater in Mechanical engineering or related field. Minimum 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field. Excellent technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. Experience with CAD programs. Proficient with SolidWorks. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm (Hours subject to change depending on the needs of the Business.)
