Driving your assigned truck safely and responsibly.Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection of vehicle.Following all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.Safely operate equipment along designated route to arrive to customer job-site safely.Reporting problems with your truck, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before and after route.Acting as the main point of contact with your customer and interacting with customers courteously.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to daily weather conditions and moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is usually loud.Company DescriptionWe are looking for Full-time Accounts Payable Assistant with a minimum 3 years experience who is bilingual in English/Spanish.Heavy Diesel Mechanic inspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered Roll-Off and Front-end Load Waste Management vehicles and machines, like trucks, forklifts and trailers.
• Consulting with the drivers and reading the Vehicle Inspection Reports to evaluate the maintenance tasks required
• Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
• Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
• Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
