The Shop Technician supports the Site Manager by performing day-to-day facility, equipment, inventory, and logistics activities at an Astro Pak field site. This hands-on role helps ensure equipment readiness, safe operations, and efficient support for field project teams nationwide.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility, shop, and equipment staging areasPerform basic maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on field equipment and toolsReceive, store, stage, and dispatch equipment, materials, and chemicals for field projectsTrack inventory, restock supplies, and support reorder needsLoad and unload equipment; inspect returned items and identify repair or calibration needsFollow all safety, PPE, and chemical handling requirementsSupport the Site Manager with documentation, logs, and operational tasksCollaborate with Operations and field teams to ensure project readinessOccasional overtime or weekend work as needed, some overnight travel includedRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade training preferred1–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, warehouse operations, logistics, or equipment handlingMechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and basic mechanical systemsAbility to follow procedures and complete basic documentationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory tracking systems)Valid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to work independently and as part of a small teamPhysical Requirements

Working under the supervision of Shop Leadership, this position helps ensure customer equipment is processed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail. This role includes equipment setup, operation, and maintenance while adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
What You'll Do:
The Associate Shop Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting chemical cleaning and passivation processes within Astro Pak facilities. Working under the supervision of Shop Leadership, this position helps ensure customer equipment is processed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail. This role includes equipment setup, operation, and maintenance while adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
Schedule Requirements: This position requires the flexibility to work significant overtime, including weekends and holidays, as well as the ability to respond to short-notice call-ins when needed.
Responsibilities
Set up, install, and operate Astro Pak equipment connected to customer systems for chemical cleaning processes while wearing proper PPELoad and unload vehicles with required equipment and chemicals for assigned jobsTest, clean, and maintain company equipment upon return from job sitesOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipmentSafely handle various chemicals, including citric, caustic, and other hazardous substancesManage customer parts with care, including inspection, shipping, and receivingPerform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentComplete all required safety training, including OSHA certificationsFollow all company safety policies, practices, and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized workspace according to CEO (Clean, Efficient, Organized)/5S standardsPerform additional duties as assigned by the Operations ManagerWork & Physical Environment
