Maintenance as mandated by OPNAVINST 4790 (series), NAVFAC, and NAVSEA instructions and as scheduled in 3M for all Hyperbaric Facility Equipment, to include certified recompression chambers, certified high air compressors, air, mix gas, and oxygen piping, MIL-F-22606/ASME/DOT flasks, cylinders and test equipment. Maintain equipment standards IAW the system certification authority (NAVFAC and NAVSEA), US Navy Dive Manual. Provide technical expertise for outside contracted maintenance of the NAVFAC/NAVSEA DLSS Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber System. Assist with the preventative and corrective maintenance of the MK 25 UBA and support equipment. Conduct spot inventories of diving equipment. Perform customer service for issue and receipt of equipment. Maintain PMS SKED computer program as Work-center supervisor for NAVFAC/NAVSEA DLSS Hyperbaric Recompression Chamber System. Schedule and document maintenance within the program IAW NAVSEAINST 4790.8 (series).Requirements:
Must possess Navy Dive School certification (NEC 5342/5342 or higher).Must possess qualification as Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man, 3M QA Craftsman, and 3M Work Center Supervisor.Must possess certification as factory trained technician for diving equipment within inventory, DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor, oxygen clean system worker, and MK 25 UBA maintenance technician.Possess a valid state driver’s license.Be able to drive Government-owned trucks, forklifts and vans. No CDL license required.Currently hold and maintain an active Secret Clearance.Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs. Have a minimum of five(5) years’ experience at an Intermediate or depot level military maintenance facility, or have E6 – E7 equivalent military experience maintaining Civil Engineering Support Equipment. Possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in diesel engines and at least one (1) other Heavy Truck or Military Tactical Vehicle Wheeled Vehicle categories such as Drive Train; Brakes; Suspension & Steering; Electrical; Heating & A/C and Preventative Maintenance. ASE requirement can be waived with five years of experience as a Depot Level Shop lead Mechanic or Supervisor. Be able to use Asset Works LLC software “Fleet Focus” to record maintenance actions, track time and document parts ordered and installed. Be capable of maintaining tactical vehicles built by Oshkosh, AM General, Mack, International and Freightliner manufacturers. Have the capacity and technical skills needed to make all levels of repair to suspension, steering, electrical, instrumentation, computer controls, driver controls, brakes, fuel delivery, carburetion and fuel injection, exhaust, and power train systems. Be capable of repairing electric and manual window mechanisms, vehicle locks, seats, and incorporated electronics. Be capable of demounting and mounting all sizes of tires and balancing the wheel and tire assembly once mounted. Tire repairs shall include plug insertion, patches, and complete replacement depending upon severity of damage.
