Asante is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Infectious Disease team in beautiful Southern Oregon. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a seasoned team of infectious disease physicians, supporting a growing patient population across multiple communities.
This full-time, outpatient-only role offers a blend of autonomy and teamwork, serving established patients, hospital follow-ups, and supporting continuity of care within a high-functioning, patient-centered practice. The position is based primarily in Medford, with one day per week in Grants Pass, providing consistent support to patients and physicians across our region.
Position HighlightsSchedule: Monday Thursday (4-day work week), 1.0 FTE

Patient Panel:
See established clinic patients from prior providers
Provide follow-up care for physicians patients as needed
Conduct hospital discharge follow-up visits
Assist with managing Epic In-baskets for three physicians (including a new physician joining in 2026)

Position Summary:
The Radiation Oncology Physician Assistant (PA) functions as a vital member of the multidisciplinary care team, working collaboratively attending physicians, nurses, and technologists. The PA provides independent and team-based care for patients receiving radiation therapy. Responsibilities include comprehensive clinical assessment, management of treatment-related side effects, coordination of care, and contribution to patient education and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and document comprehensive history and physical examinations of radiation oncology patients.Formulate and adjust treatment regimens under established standardized procedures and supervising physician oversight.Evaluate and manage patients experiencing acute and chronic side effects of radiation treatment.Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies; initiate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.Monitor patients response to treatment and provide follow-up care and surveillance.Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and follow-up care.Participate in tumor boards, interdisciplinary rounds, and case reviews.Document all services in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and in a timely manner.Collaborate with internal and external healthcare providers and support services for care coordination.Maintain high standards of confidentiality, communication, and professionalism.Required Qualifications:
