Seeking a Class A CDL driver with TWIC card and port-to-rail experience. Minimum age 23, 2 years semi-truck driving. Truck is a 2014 Volvo automatic. Hazmat is a plus.
Duties
Execute route driving to deliver goods to designated locations while adhering to scheduled timelines.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.Maintain accurate records, including e-logs of hours driven.Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transport. Communicate any issues with the truck's performance with the fleet owner.Ensure proper securing of cargo during transit.Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle assigned to you.Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.2 years previous experience in commercial driving.Familiarity with route driving and freight handling practices is a plus.Familiarity with ports and port processes.Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.Must pass a background check, drug screening and insurance approval as part of the hiring process.Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
