    Job Purpose:

    Maintains open communication lines with Program Director, Center staff, attending clinicians and physicians, clients and families. 

    Duties:        

    ·       Oversees all aspects of care for clients on assigned caseload including assessments, Treatment planning, Individual counseling, Group counseling, Crisis intervention, family and referent contact, discharge planning and coordination, and all required documentation. ·       Facilitates both process and didactic style groups for clients.·        Complete Biopsychosocial assessment and all pertinent assessment in a timely manner. ·       Contacts family with clinical updates (with proper consent) on agreed upon cadence. Provides clinically informed communication to enhance family’s understanding and support of addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, progress, and continuing care recommendations. Conducts family sessions where indicated. Provides referrals for families as needed to community support services and resources.·       Provide and documents pertinent client information based on evaluation, and group and individual session interactions, to assist in the client treatment process.·       Knowledge of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria. ·       Document provided services in progress notes in a clear, concise, timely manner. ·       Document client progress/regression according to established policies and procedures. ·       Attend daily staffing meetings.·       Facilitate team interaction for discharge planning for respective clients.·        Participate as a team member in all treatment team meetings and provides input regarding patients’ needs and requirements.·        Collaborate with the medical staff to provide treatment services. ·       Demonstrate effective communication skills.·       Knowledge of program policies and procedures.·       Respond positively to changing situations in the work setting.·       Work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.·       Perform in a professional manner and role models a positive image of mental health.·       Reports abuse of client’s rights immediately.·       Knowledge of procedure, and knowledge of team member’s responsibilities in Involuntary hospitalization situations.·       Participate in Performance Improvement monitoring and evaluating activities.·       Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, patients, and other employees during emergency.·       Perform other capacities as needed.                                                                                                             Requirements & Qualifications: ·       Master’s degree in social work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Psychology, or a related licensable clinical degree required from an accredited college or university.
    ·       Valid license or registered intern status in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, or Psychology in the State of Florida·       Minimum of two years’ experience in the use of psychosocial assessment and psychotherapeutic methods and measures in a hospital, clinic or agency.·       Preferred LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, CADC, APCC, or any related Addictions Professional Certification.·       Significant experience with chronic disorders preferred.
