Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
Manage the full lifecycle of bankruptcy matters, including:
Plan confirmations
Motions for relief from stay
Contested matters
Adversary proceedings
Review and approve statutorily required notices, pleadings, correspondence, and court filings.
Draft and respond to written inquiries, disputes, and legal correspondence.
Attend and argue motions and hearings in North Carolina bankruptcy and federal courts.
Participate in mediations and negotiations as needed.
Provide strategic legal guidance to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
Oversee and collaborate with legal support staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of filings.
QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active admission in North Carolina (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
Minimum 2 years of experience representing creditors in bankruptcy or insolvency matters.
Strong working knowledge of secured creditor issues.
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a national team.
