    Job Summary

    Spark by Hilton Mesa is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel property, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and team members.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and basic repairs. This role requires someone who is hands-on, organized, and able to respond quickly to maintenance issues in a hotel environment.

    Responsibilities

    Perform repairs and maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces

    Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff

    Assist with preventive maintenance programs (PM) for guest rooms and building systems

    Perform basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry

    Inspect hotel property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained

    Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

    Assist with room renovations and improvement projects when needed

    Work with management to coordinate repairs and outside contractors when necessary

    Qualifications

    Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required

    Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs

    Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs efficiently

    Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

    Good communication and teamwork skills

    Schedule Requirements

    Hotel operates 24 hours / 7 days a week

    Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and move 50 lbs or more
     
    Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work with tools and equipment
     
    Additional Requirements
     
    Non-smoker preferred
    Must maintain a professional appearance and follow hotel policies

     Clean and service assigned guest rooms, including bedrooms and bathrooms.  Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and guest amenities.  Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize guest rooms and common areas.  Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.  Restock housekeeping carts and maintain an organized work area.  Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to management.  Follow hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures.  Respond promptly to guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.  Ensure rooms meet Spark by Hilton quality and presentation standards before guests arrive.  Maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms and hotel property.  Work collaboratively with other housekeeping team members and departments. Qualifications
