Job DescriptionJob DescriptionElectrical construction services firm with people-centric culture is looking to hire a skilled Senior Electrical Estimator for their Commercial Division. Compensation package includes competitive salary, performance-based profit sharing structured job-to-job, discretionary year-end bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
The Senior Electrical Estimator will lead and manage the estimating process for commercial electrical construction projects, playing a key role in preconstruction, bid strategy, and cost analysis, while working closely with leadership, project management, and clients. The ideal candidate has strong Houston commercial construction experience and can independently manage complex estimates from takeoff through proposal submission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial projects
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Participate in bid strategy and scope review meetings
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of proposals
• Support negotiated and design-build opportunities
• Assist with budgeting and conceptual estimates when needed

Qualifications:
• 6+ years of electrical estimating experience (commercial required)
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems
• Experience with hard bids and negotiated work
• Proficient with estimating software Accubid
• Strong understanding of Houston construction market pricing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
