Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Intern – Trainer will deliver 1:1 ABA therapy, implement treatment plans, and mentor newly hired Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). This role is ideal for individuals pursuing advanced training in ABA and looking to gain leadership experience while supporting clinical excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children with ASDSupport and mentor new RBTs during their onboarding and initial training phaseCoordinate training schedules, materials, and technology needsConduct new hire evaluations and assist with BACB documentationImplement individualized treatment and behavior intervention plansCollect accurate data and maintain documentation using Central ReachProvide on-the-job coaching and real-time support during trainingUphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and model professionalism
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired:Currently enrolled in or completed a Master’s program in ABARBT certification in good standingMinimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Behavior TechnicianReliable transportation and ability to work in clinic and in-home settingsAvailability during business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, or related fieldExperience working with children ages 0–16 in therapeutic or educational settings Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to assume and maintain various postures (kneeling, crawling, standing) for extended periodsMust have a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
