Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, inquisitive, and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. The Accountant will play a crucial role in recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities
Financial ActivityManage accounts payable, including vendor, and internal communication.Review and record financial transactions, including, but not limited to recurring & prepaid bills, employee expense reimbursements, corporate credit card charges, journal entries, and other payables, disbursements, and credits.Prepare and record monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals, including but not limited to accrued PTO, employer 401k contributions, and bonuses.Manage fixed and intangible assets. Post depreciation and amortization entries. Collaborate with IT on retirement and disposal of fixed assets, recording appropriate entries in the accounting system.Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.Actively participate in all period-end close activities.Communicate internally and externally to investigate and resolve discrepancies related to financial activities.Payroll and Benefits:Partner with the People & Culture team on semi-monthly payroll processing and reconciliation.Partner with the Finance and People & Culture teams on processing quarterly and annual bonus payments.Record payroll journal entries in the accounting system.Review and approve expense reports.
