    Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Radiation Oncologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the San Juan VA Medical Center located at 10 Casia Street One Veterans Plaza, San Juan, PR 00921. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm with call. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

    ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat cancer patients (inpatient and outpatient) for both palliative and curative purposes.Develop and document individualized treatment plans, including advanced modalities (3D-conformal, VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS).Conduct patient consultations, pretreatment evaluations, and obtain informed consent.Monitor patients during treatment, adjust prescriptions as needed, and document all care in the VA’s electronic health record systems (CPRS and ARIA/Eclipse).Participate in weekly peer review conferences, tumor boards, and quality improvement meetings.Provide follow-up evaluations within 30–60 days post-treatment and document treatment discharge summaries.Ensure compliance with all VA, national, and accrediting body standards for radiation oncology practice.Participate in administrative duties, including quality assurance, staff meetings, and reporting of incidents or adverse events.Maintain and protect patient medical records in accordance with VA policies and HIPAA.Be available for on-call coverage during clinic off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.QualificationsBoard Certified in Radiation Oncology (American Board of Radiology or equivalent), with up-to-date continuing education.Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaMinimum of five (5) years' experience excluding clinical experienceMaintain an active AHA BLS and ACLs certification NPI report printoutActive DEA licenseMust be able to pass a federal background investigation

    Qualifications and Requirements

    Responsibilities

    Executes position responsibilities independently and collaboratively in accordance with the scope and Standards of nursing Practice within the specialty area.Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff. Effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues while administering quality patient care. Demonstrate advanced assessment and decision-making skills.Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations.Documents care/visit in CPRS appropriately, accurately, and concisely. Utilizes POE.Follows clinical guidelines and standards of practice for health promotion, maintenance, and illness prevention.Completes health histories and other clinical documentation consistently and with pertinent information.Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. Care and treatment plans are consistent with assessments. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests appropriately.  Selects/furnishes (prescribes) or recommends pharmacological agents and durable medical equipment appropriately. Complies with safety facility patient guidelines and other mandatory requirements as directed. 

    Qualifications

    A current license in at least one (1) state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by an American Health Assocation Vendor. Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)A current curriculum vitae (cv) which identifies the provider's education and professional qualifications commensurate with the position or specialty for which they are being offered to perform. A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years. VA experience is desirable. Be current on tuberculosis testing, rubella testing, and all immunizations prior to performing services. Have no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the performance of duties. Have the knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently in the computers and technology efficiently in the course of the duties and responsibilities. No sponsorship available 

    Pay Range: $62.00 - $85.00 hourly
