  Annashae is seeking an on-site Psychiatrist to provide services to an inpatient mental health facility in Southern IL. Hours are Monday-Friday 8a-430p (this includes a 30-minute mandated unpaid lunch). This opening offers no call, no weekends & no Holidays. Annual compensation is $458K+ with provided malpractice insurance. May be flexible to 4x10s.
  Duties include:

  1.Documentation of reasons for medication changes.

  2.Monthly progress notes on patients describing changes in mental status, behavior and psychopharmacotherapy

  3.Fitness Status (90 days)

  4.Progress during facility stay to justify transfer to less secure facility.

  5.Review of seclusion and restraints at least twice a month

  Requirements:

  Current Illinois Medical license
  Current Illinois Controlled Substance certificate.
  Current DEA certificate
  BC/BE in Psychiatry

  Contract physician(s) (as appropriate and within the scope of practice/privileging) shall be responsible for providing psychiatric care, including: Physical Assessment, Psychiatric Evaluations and Mental Status Exams, Psychotherapy, Pharmacotherapy, Consultation, Clinical Supervision, General Medical Condition Care, Group Psychotherapy, Behavior Therapy, Family Therapy, Treatment Team meetings, Discharge Planning, referring patients to specialty care, histories and physicals, order prescriptions, labs, x-rays, and other pertinent tests, completes documentation requirements promptly as per policy, completion of consults from locations at the facility, and evaluates outpatients for medication as needed. Contracted psychiatrists shall have an active and valid DEA license and shall have the ability to prescribe Buprenorphine and Clozapine.See an average of 10-13 patients daily Read Less
