    Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a Co-Medical Director to join our leadership team and help guide the continued growth and clinical excellence of our hospital.

    About the Role

    As Co-Medical Director, you will partner with our leadership team to support medical standards, mentor veterinarians, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. This position blends clinical practice with leadership, allowing you to make a meaningful impact both in patient care and in the development of the medical team.

    This role is ideal for a veterinarian who values a collaborative team environment, flexibility, and believes strong practices are built through mentorship, mutual support, and shared success.



    What You'll Do

    • Provide high-quality medical care and maintain an active clinical caseload

    • Support and mentor associate veterinarians and early-career doctors

    • Collaborate with leadership to guide medical standards, protocols, and hospital growth initiatives

    • Contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures

    • Foster a positive, team-focused culture that prioritizes patient care and professional development

    An interest in surgery and/or ultrasound is strongly welcomed, as we continue expanding our diagnostic and surgical capabilities.



    Our Hospital

    Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is a well-established, full-service small animal hospital offering comprehensive care including preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and boarding services.

    Our team is supported by:

    • Licensed veterinary technicians and experienced support staff

    • Daily doctor rounds that encourage case collaboration and continuous learning

    • A leadership team committed to mentorship and professional growth

    We are actively investing in the hospital's future including continued facility upgrades and expanded services.



    Schedule

    • Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week)

    • Doctors begin the day with collaborative morning rounds

    • Appointments typically begin around 8:30 AM

    • Two Saturdays per month required (8:00 AM-1:00 PM)

    • Last appointment at 5:30

    Responsibilities

    The Associate Veterinarian will:

    • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients

    • Develop trusting relationships with clients through clear communication and education

    • Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent patient care

    • Participate in case discussions and hospital rounds

    • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the hospital

    • An interest in surgery or a willingness to develop surgical skills is highly valued.



    Schedule

    • Full-time

    • Rounds at 8am and first appointment at 8:30am. Last appointment at 5:30pm

    • Two Saturdays per month required (8:00 AM-1:00 PM)
