The Specialty Equipment segment includes Anderson Dahlen, located in Ramsey, MN and Waconia, MN. Anderson Dahlen specializes in stainless steel and specialty alloy fabrication and is ISO 9001:2015 certified, as well as ASME, AWS, and PED compliant.
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $23 to $28 hourly/annually. Hours of position are 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Performs a full range of rough grinding, polishing and metal finishing operations on components, manufactured parts and assemblies in accordance with prescribed specifications.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Follow safe work practices and OSHA requirements.Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items using hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques: Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or material defects.Use a variety of hand tools and manual techniques to smooth surfaces to grind and blend to specified finish.Ability able to set-up and operate straight-line sanders, buffers, timesavers, and hand-held grinders and polishers.Complete projects within established guidelines and time frames according to our quality standards.May utilize blueprints to perform job.Read and understand written or verbal work instructions to complete tasks.Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. Work in a team environment. Monitor quality of goods produced. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:
High School Diploma/GED, 2+ years in manufacturing industry, preferred. A high level of attention to detail is a must as aesthetic appearance is critical. Must be able to select the proper abrasives for each application to achieve the specified finish using the most efficient process. Must have good dexterity and hand eye coordination. Must be comfortable bending, squatting, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling.Ability to use profilometers and other measuring tools.Good verbal and written communication Must be reliable and punctual.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Project Manager will be a critical member of the Engineering team and possess solid project management knowledge, experience, and skills to manage, lead and direct one or more projects from initiation to successful on time completion. Accomplish this by planning, monitoring, and coordinating the job flow within and between each of the manufacturing departments, consistent with customer expectations and Anderson & Dahlen goals, budget, and customer satisfaction objectives. Work with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Operations to identify potential risks early and develop mitigation actions. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are critical success factors while working with key stakeholders.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Plans and manages project execution from up front quoting and design engineering through downstream manufacturing and delivery activities, including onsite installation in some cases.Plays an active role in project related kick off meetings to assist in the development of project timeline, requirements, and labor resources needed to meet customer delivery schedules.Develops the production plan by entering BOM and routing into ERP System.Works with engineering, operations and purchasing department to acquire all necessary articles, expedites and arranges for sub-contracting when necessary.Identifies workload and critical path; maintains a continual awareness of potential bottlenecks that could negatively impact the achievement of on-schedule completion of in-process operations; recommends and/or implements short term containment actions in order to ensure delivery timeliness and workload leveling.Coordinates shipping packaging requirements, arrival times, and specified carriers with shipping department as required to meet customer expectations. Works with CAD designers and engineers; and as such is consistently able to communicate clearly and effectively with personnel in an appropriate and understandable manner.Intimately involved in all welding, finishing, and assembly activity for the design build group.
