    Director, Internal Audit The Director, Internal Audit is directly responsible for planning, leading, and overseeing the execution of the internal audits and assigned SOX process within AmTrust Financial Services in accordance with professional standards to ensure that internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively. Responsibilities Assist the AVP, Internal Audit or the Chief Audit Officer with the development and leading the execution of the risk based audit plan Perform, lead and manage complex risk-based internal audits of controls and annual SOX program, and assist management in developing remediation action plans. Identify and communicate control deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, analyze the impact of the control deficiencies on the business processes and assist SOX compliance management in determining the impact of such exceptions on the financial statements Develop and execute computer-assisted audit techniques for testing controls Assist other audit teams in developing and conducting integrated audits Oversee the tracking and monitoring of management action plans and report status to the Chief Audit Officer Manages the audit team(s) in the assigned center of excellence Provides guidance to staff in the execution of assigned complex audits, including monitoring, progress and quality against stated audit objectives, department metric and audit requirements Accountable for delivering audit results within the agreed upon timeframes and budgets Develops clear and concise written deliverables, including audit reports Coordinates and develops a sound relationship with the 2nd line functions (e.g. Risk Management) to maximize Department metrics and audit requirements and leverage risk management coverage Be a partner and mentor to all members of the team; challenge and provide advice about risk and control considerations with a constructive and respected style Maintains organizational and professional ethical standards and ensures Internal Audit activities are carried out or supervised in compliance with the applicable standards Proactively maintain a strong ongoing relationship with management, regulators, and external auditors Review the work of the staff and managers to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with program standards Lead and assist in other administrative activities including, but not limited to, time reporting, open issue follow up tracking, and other metrics. Lead and assist with the assessment of controls at 3rd party business partner by reviewing SOC reports and evaluating the results within the reports and their impact of the company's controls. As needed, be able to travel-domestically up to 20% Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, management information systems, risk management or other related discipline Applicable certification in audit is required; such as CPA or CIA Advanced Risk audit methodology knowledge and experience required Proficiency with common audit tools (e.g., workpapers, data analysis) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and ability to learn new software programs Strong accounting and financial industry audit background with understanding of related risk and controls Demonstrated team leader; ability to attract, develop and retain top talent and encourage an inclusive working environment Strong work ethic, client service attitude and demonstrated team player Excellent communication skills written and oral to both technical and non-technical audience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through constant changes Professional demeanor with clients and teammates Ability to work and manage remotely when necessary Preferred: 9 or more years of audit experience Relevant experience within General Insurance and/or Reinsurance provider environment(s), preferably from a property/liability carrier The expected salary range for this role is $126,200-$175,000/year. Responsible for research, development and presentation of new classes of business including market viability, forms development, and manuals. Assists the manager with department strategies and employee coaching and development, and mentors underwriters at all levels. Responsibilities Underwrite and maintain a profitable standing of nonprofit middle market accounts in the assigned territory. Foster positive business relationships with agents of nonprofit organizations such as food banks, homeless shelters, group homes, home health care agencies, religious organizations, and day cares Support the efforts of the regional underwriting teams in the nonprofit market and travels to offices as required for training or marketing visits. Review individual risks with assigned agents/brokers and either decline or accept business based upon pertinent information related to the underwriting guidelines. Research and develop new classes of business as well as review market trends and competition movement within the nonprofit insurance space. Assess market viability, suggest form wording on endorsements and exclusions, and supports rate changes based on global strategy. Analyze exposures to loss, adequate premium charge for exposures, and proper endorsements and exclusions with the highest level of technical expertise and accuracy, Achieve team/individual production and loss ratio goals with assigned agents / brokers using sound underwriting principles. Operate with a forward-facing mentality to solve complex issues concerning coverage, terms and conditions, etc. Oversee or handle policy maintenance items and other mid-term requests during the first year of writing an account. Review Loss Control reports and recommendations and collaborate with the agent / broker to ensure loss control compliance. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Undergraduate studies degree preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. License/Certification/Designation: Completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS, or ASLI is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of Underwriting experience with 1-2 years of Nonprofit underwriting experience. Knowledge: Knowledge of Nonprofit underwriting policies, practices and procedures, insurance law and underwriting/marketing principles and techniques. Skills/Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing, interpersonally with individuals and groups via telephone, tele/video conference, fax, e-mail and in person. Demonstrates advanced negotiation skills. Ability to manage the line of business assigned, which may include monitoring of aggregates. Ability to analyze highly complex insurance risks to determine acceptability including policy language, Ability to use/learn job related computer software. Ability to handle the most complex accounts. Ability to devise business solutions to complex problems, implement the most appropriate, and monitor the effectiveness. Ability to make decisions on highly complex issues and work with minimal direction. Ability to train and mentor all levels of underwriters, underwriting assistants and interns. Ability to analyze and interpret mathematical, statistical and logical data, and evaluate its reliability and significance. Ability to apply market trends and competitor intelligence to underwriting approach. The expected salary range for this role is $85,000-$92,000.00. PRIMARY PURPOSE: The complex care case manager will provide comprehensive and quality telephonic case management for our injured employees with complex diagnoses and often catastrophic injuries. Our nurses will be responsible for proactively applying clinical expertise ensuring our injured employees receive medically appropriate healthcare to achieve a safe return to work or best optimal level of function through engagement with the injured employee, provider and employer. Our nurses will be empathetic informative medical resources for our injured employees, and they will partner with our adjusters to develop a personalized holistic approach for each claim. These responsibilities may include utilization review, pharmacy oversight and care coordination Responsibilities Uses clinical/nursing expertise to determine whether all aspects of a patient's care, at every level, are medically necessary and appropriately delivered. Improve the quality of life with the overall goal of return to pre-injury status. Assist the injured employee and family to secure optimal care and achieve full recovery.
