    Job Summary:
    We are looking for an energetic and experienced Cash Applications Specialist to join our finance team. As part of our team, you will post payments, research and code deductions and participate in maintaining clean customer accounts. Our ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver who enjoys working with an engaged team and possesses accurate data entry skills and an eye for detail.

    This position is based in Tampa, FL and requires the AR Specialist to be in the office 3 days per week (hybrid work schedule)


    Responsibilities:

    Process remittances which may be electronic and manual payment transactions including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.Research and address payment issues like double payments, short payments, unapplied cash or other discrepancies.Collaborate with the billing, customer service, collections and sales teams to address customer issues.Reconcile cash postings with accounting.Share opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in cash applications and collections as key member of the AR team.Create reports to track activity and resolution, as necessary.Engage in collection management processes, as necessary.Support audits and internal projects, as necessary.


    Job qualifications:

    Associate degree in finance or accounting, preferred but not required.Prior experience in cash applications, billing, accounts receivable or collections.Basic understanding of accounting and order to cash cycle, including invoices, debits, credits and internal controls.Customer service skills, including written and verbal communications, to handle disputes and queries with both internal and external customers.Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Math skills.Working knowledge of systems: ERPs, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams), Customer Portals.Able to work independently and with a team.Demonstrates a positive attitude and takes a proactive approach.Able to manage time and work towards deadlines.     Summary:

    Ensures inventory is stocked appropriately by evaluating customer future needs, reviewing inventory quantity, and initiating orders for additional/new new material.  Records quantity and type of stock received, in store, and issued.  Ensures inventory accuracy by conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.

    Duties: 

    Will support the electronic parts inventory activities in the receiving, managing, and kitting of electronic parts.  Will interface with Quality Assurance (QA), Parts Program Engineers, Parts Representatives, Electronic Fabrication, other Inventory personnel, Material Control, and JPL project customers.Will process inbound receipts and outbound shipments to assure quality and accuracy.  Will determine storage locations and packaging methods following guidelines for temperature, humidity, and packaging. Will fill complex kits for production departments and verifies counts and/or document shortages.  Will coordinate with receiving inspection QA, production control, and assembly departments to resolve shortages and/or inventory problems.Will be responsible for maintaining and conducting the electronic parts physical inventory, disposition/excess of materials, and support JPL Material Control quarterly audits and other NASA audits.  Will use Oracle Discreet Manufacturing (ODM) modules and other IT applications to perform required inventory transactions (e.g., Oracle Inventory, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Work in Progress (WIP). 

    The ideal candidate will have experience with handling high reliability electronic flight parts. Familiarity with electronic flight parts (procurement numbers, manufacturers, and documentation). Records quantity and type of stock received, in store, and issued. Ensures inventory accuracy by conducting physical inventories.
     

    Qualifications:
     

    Typically requires a High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Associates with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; or related experience.Thorough understanding and prior experience handling high-reliability and space level electronic components. Familiarity with electronic part numbers, part families and their identification, lot and date code, manufacturers, and common package types.Previous experience operating within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.Solid understanding of inventory receiving, stocking, kitting processes, and material inventory techniques.Excellent customer service skills and able to effectively work and communicate with technicians, engineers, managers, scientists, and business/logistics personnel.Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.Proficiency in Oracle Inventory, BOM, and WIP modulesJPL ESD and Critical Hardware Handling (JCI) certifiedSolid working knowledge of electronic parts inventory and ability to work independently with minimal training and guidanceWorking knowledge of JPL’s purchasing and receiving process

    Position Summary:
    Responsible for performing routine product support duties following well defined procedures and processes in one or more of the following functions: parts identification, shipping, receiving, warehouse, stock handling, parts handling, etc. Position requires close supervision with detailed instruction and training.


    Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
    PARTS IDENTIFICATION
    1. Identify parts using simple and proper identification methods and equipment indicated by the pick list or WIP, blueprint and/or customer requirements.
    SHIPPING
    2. Prepare parts and/or materials to assure safe handling for shipment including the completion of the necessary paperwork.
    3. Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment including computer input for necessary labels.
    WAREHOUSE
    4. Check and identify parts by type or part number.
    5. Prepare parts for storage and place stock in proper location as directed.
    6. Select parts from stock to fill orders according to parts lists.
    7. Maintain and access necessary records utilizing a computer. If applicable, execute some advanced CICS functions such as issue requisition, release requisition, edit and fill shortage requisitions.
    PARTS HANDLING
    8. Following route/route sheet instructions, move parts between functions or teams using a forklift or other moving devices.
    9. Package or repackage parts to prevent damage during movement or handling.
    10. Request and stage tooling required to support team schedules.
    11. Audit material storage areas to support inventory location and count accuracy.?
    Secondary Responsibilities/Non Essential Functions:
    1. Maintains appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilizes this knowledge base to become proficient on new/unfamiliar assignments
    2. May be required to assist in sub-assembly area.
    3. Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Maintains a satisfactory high level of performance.
    4. Actively participates in lean/continuous initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Applies lean concepts and tools in work areas.

    Typical Mental and Physical Demands:
    The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the plant to prepare parts for shipment, storage, fill orders, count inventory, and move materials. The team member frequently operates computers and office productivity machinery; occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to retrieve or store parts or materials; and frequently moves materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequently is exposed to noise, dust, gas and fumes and works near hazardous equipment or machinery.
