    Position Summary

    The role of Instructor is to assist with program academic learning and testing functions and various classroom activities as assigned. The education instructor's primary objectives include facilitating lesson plans and ensuring student’s success in earning credits or GED.

    Essential Job Duties

    Assess and evaluate academic needs of youth; provide professional instruction and teaching to a diverse population as appropriate,

    Provide instruction related to core subject areas and electives according to lesson plans, IEPs and AMIkids Blended Learning Model incorporating other instructional strategies,

    Motivate and guide youth toward the successful accomplishment of established educational goals and objectives,

    Effective use of the Behavior Modification System by providing redirection and coaching to youth,

    Provide instruction in life skills and other career readiness curriculum as needed,

    Supervise classroom activities and computer based assignments,

    Maintain appropriate educational materials, equipment and resources,

    Maintain timely accurate and complete youth records (includes but not limited to lesson plans and grades),

    Serve as advisor and positive role model for youth at all times,

    Exhibit patience and empathy in appropriate situations,

    Maintain appropriate work habits, including regular and punctual attendance,

    Ensure compliance with applicable industry recognized policies/procedures/regulations,

    Actively supervise and/or coordinate day trips and special activities that involve recreational sports, facility and equipment cleaning, grounds maintenance and equipment relocation,

    Attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state and contract requirements,

    Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization,

    Maintain cleanliness of classrooms and education facility,

    Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Education, Training and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred,

    Two (2) years of experience working with youth,

    Position Summary

    The role of the Youth Care Specialist Supervisor to provide leadership and supervision of the Youth Care Specialists; to include development and performance management of their direct reports, scheduling and participate in recruiting process.     We seek a Director of Operations to provide leadership to the Youth Care Specialists and Youth Care Specialists Supervisors to ensure alignment with established Program operations policies, procedures and protocol. Provide supervision for youth served in a safe and secure environment. Assist in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Program.

    What you will be doing:

    Supervise youth and staff in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as an advisor and positive role model,Coordinate daily staffing schedule; ensure coverage is maintained within required ratio,Oversee/supervise Program activities and field trips; ensure appropriate youth to staff ratio in accordance with contractual requirements,Execute/oversee and adhere to established safety and security policies and procedures; conduct youth and property searches for unauthorized items,De-escalate youth altercations and incidents, using authorized methods and notify leadership,Establish effective interpersonal communication skills encouraging positive cooperation; and increasing Team Member’s successful and meaningful interactions with youth,Plan and conduct regular staff meetings to include interactive open communication for the dissemination of information,Provide on-going training and development opportunities for Team Members, to include continued development regarding effective communication with youth,Provide constructive feedback and evaluate performance of direct reports for Team Member’s continued growth,May act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders,Participate in recruiting process.

    Role requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education or related field;Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience, two (2) years preferred,Minimum of one (1) year experience within an educational or youth service program, preferably working with troubled youth.
