    Overview

    Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Diesel Equipment and Generator Technician in Orlando, FL! The Diesel Equipment and Generator Technician is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of light and medium duty vehicles and their associated aerial lift systems, generators, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This person will also be required to operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation.

    Pay range: $29/hr - $35/hr. Competitive Hourly Pay - We pay weekly, every Friday!

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

    What the Diesel Equipment and Generator Technician role looks like:

    Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to vehicles and associated equipmentPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentationInspect and perform work under vehiclesMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicleComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresInteract with clients through both email and phone as necessaryPerform other duties as required

    What our ideal candidate looks like:

    At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance and/or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolExperience in generator preventative maintenance and repairMust be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properlyMust provide own hand tools & toolboxProficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailStrong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

    What the Mobile Diesel Mechanic role looks like:

    · Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer

    · Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium-duty vehicles

    · Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required

    · Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

    · Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles

    · Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance

    What We’re Looking For

    5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairsStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsValid driver’s licenseAbility to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below) Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

    This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases.     What the Trailer Technician/Mechanic role looks like:

    Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicleComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresPerform other duties as required
