    We are seeking a dynamic Area Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager who is committed to world-class performance in safety, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven professional to provide leadership and oversight across our two North Carolina facilities. The role may be based at either site or a location between them and requires consistent on-site engagement at both facilities.

    This position is well-suited for an EHS professional who thrives in building and sustaining effective safety systems, strengthening safety culture and driving continuous improvement beyond regulatory compliance. Experience with, or exposure to OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) principles is highly desirable,


    Responsibilities

    Provide multi-site EHS leadership across assigned facilities to ensure consistent execution of company standards and expectationsDrive standardization of EHS systems, processes, tools, and best practices across locationsIdentify performance gaps and implement targeted improvement initiatives across sitesStrengthen and influence a proactive safety culture at all organizational levelsPartner with plant leadership to reinforce accountability and ownership of EHS performanceCoach and mentor leaders and safety committees on hazard recognition, risk reduction, and safety leadership practicesOwn and drive EHS performance metrics, including leading and lagging indicatorsAnalyze EHS data, trends, and risks to support continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements and company standardsLead audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations using structured root cause analysis methodsMaintain accurate EHS documentation, records, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and HR to integrate EHS into daily operations and projectsSupport environmental compliance, contractor safety programs, regulatory inspections, and OSHA VPP readiness initiatives

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related discipline required5+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environmentsDemonstrated experience implementing, supporting, maintaining, or improving EHS management systemsWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations; OSHA VPP experience or familiarity strongly preferred

    Americhem manufactures and sells thermoplastic color compounds and is looking for a Material Handler in Liberty, NC. The Material Handler verifies the receipt and transportation of raw materials and manufactured products to ensure conformance to customer specifications. This position is an excellent fit for those interested in a hands-on role in a production environment!

    Shift: 1st (12pm to 8:00pm)

    Pay: Pay starting at $17-$20 an hour and increases with experience.

    Responsibilities of Material Handler:

    · Prepares and inspects all finished goods for shipment according to appropriate specifications.

    · Verifies finished goods according to procedures.

    · Uses forklift in a safe and efficient manner to transport and store materials to proper locations.

    · Plans shipment by ensuring proper labeling, packaging, paperwork, and transportation of product according to procedures.

    · Performs manual repacking of materials based on customer specifications.

    Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications:

    · Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred

    · Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing/production preferred.
