This position is for a Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from preconstruction to project completion. The PM will organize and oversee all construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The main focus of the projects of this role will be in CapEX, Multifamily New Construction (renovation and ground up) sector.
An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures with the ability to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind, a firm understanding of critical path methodology, great organizational skills, and be solution oriented.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to contractual schedule requirements and without exceeding the set budget while maintaining exceptional quality and customer service standards.
Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager:
Determine and define scope(s) of work and deliverablesPredict resources needed to complete projectObtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisitesDraft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsManage costs to meet budgetProvide direction over contracts and subcontractsGenerate and manage construction schedule and activitiesIssue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesEnsure work is done in compliance with quality standards and all relevant building and safety codesSelect and manage subcontractor and supplier relationshipsCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractorsAccurately estimate costs of new project demands and changes.Qualifications for Construction Project Manager
Humble, Hungry, and People SmartBachelor's degree or in the process of obtaining degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equal with relevant experience5+ years of experience as a project management within the construction industryComfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawingsProficient in Microsoft Office and general computer softwareDemonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principlesAbility to estimate, budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costsHigh degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditionsStrong leadership and management skillsPreferred Experience with Sage 100, Procore, & Microsoft Office including MS-ProjectsSpanish Speaking is a bonus!
