    We are currently seeking a Procurement Engineer with a BS degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or construction management to work out of our McLean, Virginia office. This position will allow individuals to gain valuable experience in the international construction industry, specifically in the construction of U.S. Embassies abroad. A secret level security clearance is required for this position; candidates must be able to obtain a secret clearance if they do not already have one. US  Citizenship is a requirement to be able to obtain a secret level security clearance.

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    Assists the primary coordinator of all US material procurement, engineering, and design efforts for projects currently being executed and for bid proposals for new projects. Assist in the integration of design efforts into construction execution. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, in the development of a project bill of materials and preparation of packages and issues for supplier quotation.Contributes to internal or external technical meetingsImproves the quality of service to achieve best value and best practice.Performs Procurement engineering evaluation, commercial grade dedication, and item equivalency evaluations in support of site operations, maintenance and engineering departmentsCoordinates with QA on Procurement related matters (Inspection, Vendor substitutes, and Technical discrepancies).Provides field and engineering experience expertise to the procurement officers.Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bidTracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and ordersContacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.Coordinates with warehouse and freight forwarders on materials logistics from suppliers to the project sitesPrepares, maintains, and reviews procurement files, reports and price lists.Provides support & information to all project levelsBuilds up a portfolio of approved suppliersReceives and produces comparative analysis of material quotations.Assists in managing and processing submittal data.Performs material take-offs.Assists in the development of engineering solutions.Represents the company to the United States Government.Develop and maintain supplier, subcontractor, and client relations.Performs any other related duties as assigned.

    The Metal Building Erection Superintendent will oversee and guide crews, ensuring the

    superintendent coordinates all field activities and serves as the primary on-site leader of
    the erection crew.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Supervision of the actual physical erection of the PEMB building in strict
    accordance with design and contract documents
    • Develop and update construction schedules, identifying and resolving potential
    delays or issues
    • Will supervise a specific craft or trade; coordinate the activities of a variety of
    steel building erectors, professionals and laborers
    • Enforce safety and quality-control policies in accordance with EM 385-1-1
    • Maintain satisfactory relationships with clients and subcontractors
    • Ability to work in a team environment with other Project Managers, Engineers
    and Superintendents
    • Exercise skills in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
    • Other duties as assigned by General Superintendent or Project Manager

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a PEMB Erection Superintendent, with in-
