The home currently serves a small number of residents, allowing staff to provide highly individualized care and support. DSPs work closely with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and facility leadership to help residents achieve greater independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) Promote independence and self-care skills Support community integration and engagement activities Assist with meal preparation and healthy cooking Implement behavior support strategies and positive reinforcement techniques Accurately collect and document behavioral data and progress notes Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all residents Follow established protocols for behavioral challenges and crisis intervention Important Note Some residents may engage in behaviors such as elopement attempts, self-injurious behaviors, or other challenging behaviors.
