The Facilities Technician ensures safe and efficient operation of facility and production support systems by performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and assisting with equipment installations. This role also maintains building and grounds, documents work, and supports safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Key functions and responsibilities include: Following all company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance. Performing duties in a safe manner and reporting all observed safety hazards to management. Acts as a role model for safety on shift. Participates in safety programs by reporting unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and close calls; enters near miss data and observations into global data center database (GDC) Regularly inspects and maintains production support equipment including but not limited to, material handling system, printers, and facility maintenance. Maintains a neat and orderly work area; meets plant and department housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed to maintain a clean and orderly work space. Participates in employee driven teams and continuous improvement projects to address scrap, quality, safety or other production related issues. Other duties as assigned or requested.
