Amber Health Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing adult and pediatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to patients while supporting the daily operations of our medical office.
Medical Assistant:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care while maintaining efficient operations within the facility.
The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/nurse practitioner. Duties may include venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, measurement, and documentation of vital signs, and assisting providers with patient exams, and telephone and clerical support.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and assisting with examinations and procedures.Support healthcare providers in the clinical setting.Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient service and improve overall healthcare delivery.Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to effectively assist in patient assessments.Perform select clinical duties.Prepare treatment room for examination of patients.Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing (as a back-up to the medical receptionist).Perform basic material management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.Performs other duties as assigned.
