  AWS is looking for a dynamic experienced Commissioning Program Manager with data center commissioning experience (or critical infrastructure). The Commissioning Program (CxP) provides direction of all commissioning process aspects of AWS data center projects from initial engagement through Power and Facilities Hand Over (PFHO) to the client. They will drive the development and standardization of all the commissioning documents, finalize and review test procedures, test protocols, means and methods. CxP will drive the planning of all commissioning levels for the mission critical facilities.

  • Program level oversight and coordination of multi-discipline division of work related to pre-commissioning and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure construction and special projects.
  • Provides multi-discipline input into the scheduling, designing and planning of projects.
  • Audit of commissioning activities continuously to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Communicates with the Cx Global and Regional Managers to ensure commissioning documents are created in accordance with applicable industry standards and AWS commissioning requirements.

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineer or related discipline.
  • 5+ years supporting mission critical Data Center environments
  • 5+ years supporting/commissioning MV & LV Distribution Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Schemes, Standby Generators, UPS, Chillers, CRAC's/CRAH's, ancillary mechanical cooling systems plant and/or system automation & monitoring, BMS and EPMS systems knowledge.
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with Procore or similar construction management tool

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
  - 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, inside plant (ISP) infrastructure, or data center environments.
  - Knowledge of fiber optic, copper (Cat 5e/6/6A) cabling installation standards
  - Basic understanding of grounding and bonding requirements in accordance with ANSI/TIA, NEC, and BICSI
  - Working knowledge of cable pathway infrastructure

  - Experience conducting QA inspections in live data center environments with a focus on pathway fill ratios, cable diameter compliance, separation requirements, and firestop/fire rating compliance
  - Hands-on knowledge of fiber splicing, fiber testing equipment (OTDR/OLTS), budget-loss, and copper certification testing
  - Familiarity with data center best practices (e.g., hot/cold aisle containment, overhead vs underfloor cabling strategies).

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  - Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
  - Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  - 5+ years of experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

  As our Data Center Construction Manager (CM) , you will be a part of a diverse, upbeat, and creative team tasked with solving fascinating problems constructing Amazon Data Centers. Our data centers are industry-leading examples of energy efficient and cost-effective designs.
  
  You will:
  • Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects.
  • Own construction project management and oversight of construction related activities.
  • Work alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our Customers.
  • Be a leader in your specific discipline (construction management, building services, architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering).
  • Represent Amazon's owner's representative on construction sites daily, as, interacting with construction trades.

  Key job responsibilities
  • Be Amazon's construction representative on multiple data centers building and capital improvement construction project sites from construction start through hand-off to operations.
  • Direct interface with construction general contractors during the construction bidding, award, execution, punch-list, and close out phases.
  • Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
  • Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy.
  • Manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors.
  • Perform construction project management activities, including management of documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, quality, scope, and schedule.
  • Drive construction teams to troubleshoot and perform root-cause failure analysis on equipment failures.
  • Support commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight.
  • Support operations of installed facilities, including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Support capital request creation.
  • Analyze and report construction progress and financials.
  • Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
  • Contribute to construction initiatives aimed at improving construction efficiency and increasing data center resiliency.
  • Provide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimization of existing data centers.

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science plus 5+ years of relevant construction experience, OR 9+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
  • 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution.
