(PCA) Personal Care Assistant
We are currently exploring the workforce for compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our home care team. In this role, you will work with our clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide exceptional care and assist and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing and safety.
PCA Duties and Responsibilities
Travel to clients' homes, being punctualGreet clients in a warm, professional mannerUnderstand the limitations and needs of each individual client according to clients individual plan of care (POC)Provide basic domestic services e.g. meal prep, laundry, light housekeepingProvide companionship and engage in conversation with the clientsRun errands, either with or for the client, as neededAssist with mobility issues, helping the client get in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc. Medication reminders and proper documentationHelp with personal hygiene e.g. brushing teeth, toileting, bathingChange bed linens regularlyAssist with all daily activities, based on the client's limitations and needsProvide a caring and positive presence for the clientDocument/log client’s' progress and overall well being for daily reportsPCA Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent certificate in first aid and CPR preferredValid driver’s license, reliable automobile, and current auto insurance required Experience working in, In-home care environment is strongly preferredExperience in domestic work or housekeeping is a plusMastery of the English language, written and verbalBilingual speaking encouraged Good communication skills, excellent conversational skillsAble to lift objects >25lbs, help move clients, and perform physical tasksPatience and ability to remain calm in stressful situationsWillingness to conduct domestic and personal tasks requested by the clientPrompt and reliableWarm and caring personalityCommitment to treating clients with integrity, dignity, and respectWillingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines Read Less
