    The Position: We are in search of a Flight Test Engineer Journeyman to support the E-2D Data Links Team.

    Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 – $145,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education.     Description:

    Serve as the primary evaluator for E-2D DSSC-5.2 Global Lightning Integration efforts in FY26 and beyond.Support the Data Links Team, collaborating closely with the Project Engineer and IFT&E Department Subject Matter Expert. Lead and/or support test planning activities, including development of test strategies, objectives, and documentation. Execute test events and ensure proper coordination across stakeholders.Conduct detailed test data analysis to assess system performance and mission effectiveness. Develop comprehensive test reports and briefings to communicate findings, risks, and recommendations. Evaluate and assess data link and networking performance within operational environments. Support System-of-Systems integration, including LVC (Live, Virtual, Constructive) environments. Contribute to interoperability assessments across platforms and systems.Support kill chain and kill web analysis, ensuring effective end-to-end mission integration.Future work would include planning and execution for E-2D Block II (DSSC-6) which will have a large travel component prior to aircraft being accepted at PAX River in the FY27-FY28 timeframe pending development.

    Education & Experience:

    Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility). Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline, or related technical field is required.Allowable Substitution: Master's Degree and 2 years of work experience.At least three (3) years of experience performing related engineering, mission systems, and/or technical work. Three years of NAVAIR, NAWCAD experience.

    Desired Experience:

    Three years' experience assisting more senior positions performing functional duties of a similar position. Experience in Test Planning, Execution, Analysis, and Reporting.Background in Data Links and/or Networking.Experience with System-of-Systems integration, LVC environments, and interoperability.Former E-2 Naval Flight Officer (NFO).Graduate of Test Pilot School (TPS).Former Program Office personnel with test experience.Relevant operational and test backgrounds.

    Travel:

    Yes, must be willing to travel to support detachments and contractor developer discussions as required.
