    Job Summary:The Commissioning Engineer supports the commissioning process on mission-critical projects, ensuring that building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls, are installed, tested, and operate in accordance with design intent, project specifications, and client requirements. This role provides hands-on experience and a strong foundation for a career in commissioning, with exposure to complex building systems and fast-paced construction environments.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    The Commissioning Engineer will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.


    Commissioning Support

    Assist in the development and execution of commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.Participate in all commissioning-related meetings; document, prepare, and distribute meeting minutes to the project team.Review submittals, shop drawings, and equipment documentation to ensure compliance with project and commissioning requirements.Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party commissioning authorities.Support scheduling and execution of equipment inspections, pre-functional testing, and system readiness activities.


    System Verification & Compliance

    Review and verify installation checklists for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.Support energization and startup activities while ensuring strict adherence to NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and site safety protocols.Ensure compliance with owner requirements, NEC, ASHRAE standards, and all applicable local codes and regulations.Assist in coordinating vendor pre-startup and startup activities in collaboration with the Commissioning Manager (CxM).


    Issue Tracking & Project Support

    Track, document, and manage commissioning issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions through to resolution.Maintain accurate commissioning logs, reports, and documentation.Support project teams in achieving key milestones, including substantial completion and final system acceptance.


    Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:

    Bachelors degree in either electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.A minimum of one years of experience in commissioning mission critical facilities, MEP systems, or related industry.Basic understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systemsFamiliarity with commissioning processes and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED) is a plus.

    Job Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for leading the field execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with an emphasis on electrical infrastructure, commissioning, and energy safety. This role ensures successful installation, energization, and testing of complex systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, EPMS, and other low voltage controls. This position works closely with trade contractors, commissioning agents, engineers, and client representatives to ensure timely delivery of a fully functional and operational facility.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    The Superintendent will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.

    Serve as the on-site authority overseeing field operations from site development through commissioning.
    Lead the implementation of Lean Construction practices, including Pull Planning, Make-Ready planning, Percent Plan Complete (PPC) tracking, and continuous improvement cycles through the Last Planner System.
    Supervise all electrical field installations including medium voltage, low voltage, switchgear, UPS, systems, and grounding.
    Lead commissioning integration efforts across all MEP systems including electrical, mechanical, and controls.
    Serve as Energy Marshal for the project, overseeing all LOTO plans, energization events, and enforcement of NFPA 70E compliance.
    Coordinate startup, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.
    Oversee the installation and validation of low-voltage systems such as BMS, EPMS, fire alarm, access control, and structured cabling.
    Collaborate with commissioning authorities (CxA) to maintain alignment with project milestones and owner requirements.
    Conduct field walks, installation reviews, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
    Work with BIM/VDC teams to ensure constructability and field validation of electrical layouts and routing.
    Track MEP and commissioning progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions in collaboration with QA/QC teams.
    Participate in factory witness testing, site acceptance testing (SAT), and turnover documentation reviews.
    Coordinate closely with utility companies, city inspectors, and third-party testing agents during major electrical milestones.
    Support O manual collection, closeout process, and client training on system operations
    Drive the development and maintenance of the six-week look-ahead and constraint log through collaborative planning with trade partners.
    Integrate Lean planning with the Master Schedule (P6 or equivalent) and collaborate closely with schedulers to ensure field-level commitments reflect the critical path.
    Champion transparency, trust, and team buy-in across all planning phases, using visual management tools (takt boards, zone maps, etc.).


    Safety Management

    Lead a culture of safety excellence through jobsite enforcement of OSHA, and client-specific protocols.
    Conduct daily safety inspections, manage JHAs, lead toolbox talks, and foster leading-indicator tracking programs such as safety observations and Stretch & Flex.
    Act as an empowered safety leader, correcting unsafe behaviors and conditions in real time.


    Quality Control

    Implement QA/QC procedures in coordination with project quality managers and the commissioning team.
    Ensure proper documentation and execution of pre-functional checklists, testing protocols, and final punchlist resolution.
    Lead quality-focused field walks and trade audits to uphold first-install excellence.


    Site Logistics & Risk Management

    Design and maintain comprehensive logistics plans for material flow, laydown, vertical transportation, and trade sequencing.Anticipate bottlenecks, maintain clear access paths for MEP rough-in, and proactively manage space in high-congestion zones.Evaluate and mitigate risks related to schedule, safety, weather, and trade conflicts.


    Client & Stakeholder Communication

    Act as the primary field contact for client representatives, third-party consultants, and design teams.
    Lead job walks, support status updates, and ensure alignment between the field team and owner expectations.
    Promote professional and proactive communication at all project stages.


    Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:

    Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in MEP or electrical construction, with 3+ years in mission-critical or large-scale industrial/data center projects.
    Deep knowledge of MEP systems and commissioning workflows specific to hyperscale environments.

    Job Summary:The MEP Assistant Superintendent supports the Project Superintendent and Senior Superintendent in managing field operations for mission-critical data center projects. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive individual with a strong foundation in construction coordination, safety enforcement, and subcontractor management. The MEP Assistant Superintendent plays a key part in driving project progress, maintaining site safety, and supporting the successful delivery of technically complex infrastructure in the field.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    Support the Project Superintendent in supervising field operations, ensuring alignment with schedule, safety, and quality goals.
    Coordinate daily construction activities among subcontractors, suppliers, and field engineers.
    Conduct daily site walks to monitor safety, cleanliness, and work quality.
    Ensure adherence to site-specific safety plans and enforce compliance with OSHA, client-specific requirements.
    Lead daily morning huddles and support weekly trade coordination meetings.

    Job Summary:The MEP Superintendent Electrical Focus is responsible for leading the field execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with an emphasis on electrical infrastructure, commissioning, and energy safety. This role ensures the successful installation, energization, andtesting of complex systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, EPMS, and other low-voltagecontrols. The Superintendent also serves as the Energy Marshal for the project, enforcing electricalsafety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance across all energized systems. This position works closely with trade contractors, commissioning agents, engineers, and client representatives to ensure the timely delivery of a fully functional and operational facility.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    Serve as the on-site authority overseeing field operations from site development through commissioning.Lead the implementation of Lean Construction practices, including Pull Planning, Make-Ready planning, Percent Plan Complete (PPC) tracking, and continuous improvement cycles through the Last Planner System.Supervise all electrical field installations including medium voltage, low voltage, switchgear, UPS, systems, and grounding.Lead commissioning integration efforts across all MEP systems including electrical, mechanical, and controls.Serve as Energy Marshal for the project, overseeing all LOTO plans, energization events, and enforcement of NFPA 70E compliance.Coordinate startup, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.Oversee the installation and validation of low-voltage systems such as BMS, EPMS, fire alarm, access control, and structured cabling.Collaborate with commissioning authorities (CxA) to maintain alignment with project milestones and owner requirements.Conduct field walks, installation reviews, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.Work with BIM/VDC teams to ensure constructability and field validation of electrical layouts and routing.Track MEP and commissioning progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions in collaboration with QA/QC teams.Participate in factory witness testing, site acceptance testing (SAT), and turnover documentation reviews.Coordinate closely with utility companies, city inspectors, and third-party testing agents during major electrical milestones.Support O manual collection, closeout process, and client training on system operationsDrive the development and maintenance of the six-week look-ahead and constraint log through collaborative planning with trade partners.Integrate Lean planning with the Master Schedule (P6 or equivalent) and collaborate closely with schedulers to ensure field-level commitments reflect the critical path.Champion transparency, trust, and team buy-in across all planning phases, using visual management tools (takt boards, zone maps, etc.).


    Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications include:

    Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a construction general contractor.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Design-build experience on relevant project types.Valid State-issued drivers license and satisfactory driving record and vehicle insurance which meets Alston Construction liability coverage requirements.OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification.First Aid/CPR Certification.

    Job Summary: Responsible for supporting company leadership in overall business operations by overseeing and managing all VDC field technologies for data center construction projects. The VDC Manager leads the training, deployment, and standardization of Reality Capture workflows across the VDC department.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    The VDC Manager will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities:
    Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues.
    Partner with Director of VDC and Lead BIM Manager, including local and remote support teams.

    Stay abreast of new technologies related to Robotic Layout and evaluate for potential business use.
    Develop documentation of Robotic Layout governance, standards, checklists, best practices, and hardware/software standards.
    Apply various other software and hardware applications to solve complex construction and engineering problems on projects.
    Present VDC services to potential clients, owners, and stakeholders as requested.
    Participate in strategic planning for VDC technologies.
    Maintain knowledge of developments in the field of technology through literature and attending conferences.

    Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:

    Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
    Minimum of 6years of applicable experience working on data center construction projects.
    An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
