Leads product development projects, coordinates and performs activities during the development from project kick-off up to handover to production plant to meet ALPLA interests and customer requirements. Represents ALPLA with enthusiasm and acts according to the principles of the ALPLA IDENTITY. Provides leadership on product development projects (caps & packaging systems), coordinates and performs activities from project initiation until project close-out. This includes product design, pilot development, production development, qualification and successful handover into production environment. Coordinates activities between customer, supplier and internal stakeholders and provides direction. Performs project controlling and project reporting. Secures production approval and project closing. Communicates effectively within the project organisation. Identifies and resolves technical issues and risks to achieve project goals by considering the whole process chain. Specifies product design, mold and sampling requirements (in PDS). Plans, participates and reviews samplings and mould qualifications under technical and economical aspects. Provide technical support for sales/TAM (C1) and ALPLA plants. Accepting and coordinating complaints and provides solutions.

The role of a PEM is to design, plan, execute and close projects according to ALPLA's processes. PEMs are to manage projects insuring that they are compliant with safety standards, meeting deadlines and are within budget. The PEMs are to define project objectives in accordance to Customer expectations and agreements. Overseeing quality control throughout the life cycle of the project to insure they deliver a quality product to internal and external customers.
Main Responsibilities: Assist with directing and managing project development from beginning to end to include, defining project scope, goals, success criteria, project plans, and deliverables that support business goals. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Assist with ensuring correct information for quotations (Cost, Feasibility, Cycle time estimation, Efficiencies, Machine and mold configuration, Secondary packaging layout), and then draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend changes when necessary. Assist with estimating and negotiating with other internal and external functional areas for required personnel, and any additional staff and/or consultants that may be necessary during project cycle. Assist with setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, and resolve issues and conflicts when necessary. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, and manage project dependencies and critical path for optimized scheduling. Assist with developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Assist with proactively manage project scope changes according to the standard process, along with rebase lining revised plans. Assist with conducting project Lessons Learned and post mortems and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Facilitate full production line trials including product & equipment qualifications. Create and maintain corporate databases (eMis, MP2, layouts, etc) according to ALPLA standards. Maintain global service contracts. Support local service agreements by setup negotiations and giving technical support to the plants.

Perform installation and maintenance of proprietary ALPLA equipment (e.g. Extrusion Blow
Molding machines, Stretch Blow Molding machines, Injection Molding machines,
packaging systems, automated palletizers) and general facility maintenance.
• Equipment installation and preventative maintenance:
-Install and set up proprietary ALPLA equipment
-Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal functionality
and prolong equipment lifespan.
-Perform minor modifications and adjustments to machinery as needed to enhance
performance and accommodate specific production requirements.
• Performs predictive maintenance:
-Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and diagnostic
tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or production disruptions.
-Employ specialized technical knowledge to perform predictive maintenance tasks, including
assessing equipment health, analyzing data trends, and planning maintenance actions
accordingly.
• Troubleshooting and repairs:
-Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a
systematic approach to identify root causes accurately.
-Collaborate with technical experts and utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to
address complex issues effectively and efficiently.
-Execute repairs on molding machines, both independently and with technical
guidance, restoring equipment functionality promptly to minimize production
interruptions.
• Facility Maintenance Support
-Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment-specific
responsibilities.
-Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by addressing
facility-related issues and supporting maintenance efforts in shared spaces.
-Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well-maintained and
conducive production environment for seamless operations

What Makes You Great Education/Experience: Min 2 years' experience in Injection Molding Experienced in either Toolmaking, Mechanic or Electric/Electronic systems Qualification/Skills: Able to work in Team environment Effectively manages time as a resource; gives balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities Must have flexible work availability Ability to prioritize, plan and execute duties with minimal supervision Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 10 hour
