    As a Lunch Monitor you will join the School Operations Team, and help to amplify Alpha's impact in the community. The Lunch Monitor will be responsible for performing a number of key duties in order to maintain a well organized environment. Alpha is fiercely entrepreneurial and our students, families, and teachers are focused on creating in our scholars self-reliant leaders who will achieve success in their school, college, and career.

    The hourly rate for this role is $18.40.

    A successful Alpha Staff:

    As the Office Assistant you will join the School Operations Team and work to amplify Alpha's impact in the community. The Office Assistant will be responsible for performing a number of key clerical and operational duties in order to maintain an efficient office environment. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the work of our educators and the fulfillment of Alpha's mission. This role will start ASAP and end May 31st.

    A successful Managing Director of Operations:

    The Managing Director of Operations (MDO) is responsible for the leadership of organizational processes across Alpha Public Schools, ensuring efficient, effective, and scalable systems across multiple functional areas, including school enrollment & attendance, facilities management, compliance systems, and school technology.

    The MDO reports to the Chief Financial Officer, and works closely with the executive leadership team and school leadership teams to ensure the smooth operation of the school's day-to-day activities. This role focuses on improving operational systems, managing resources, overseeing facilities and technology, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery to support the school's academic and organizational goals.

    Managing Director of Operation is expected to:

    Strategic Leadership and Operations ManagementPartner with the CFO and leadership team to drive the school's operational strategy and ensure alignment with the school's mission and vision.Directly manage key operational functions and roles. While this may be subject to change over time, this includes: Director of School Operations, IT Manager, Network Operations Data Manager, Network Systems ManagerDevelop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively while complying with all regulatory and legal requirements.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, including facilities management, attendance, technology infrastructure, student data & learning platform functionality, and food services.Core Operations Leadership: Lead network staff members to achieve excellent outcomes for schools, families and students through the creation, management and maintenance of operational systems.     What you'll do…

    Collaborate and coordinate services

    Work closely with a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver speech and language support to students of all grade levels and work with staff and administrators to coordinate services as part of an integrated programProvide direct speech and language services to identified students with disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria established by federal and state lawProvide push in, pull out, and/or consultative specialized instruction for students with exceptional needsCreate lesson plans and materials to support students with speech and language needs in classrooms and in direct speech and language therapy.Consult with general education teachers to ensure consistent implementation of IEPs and speech and language goals across all school environmentsAssess and analyze students' performance and progress to ensure they are mastering speech and language skills and applying them to the classroom instruction. Act as a resource to other staff and parents to help them to understand their student's needs and to support them with suggestions to assist their students.

    IEP Case Management and Support

    Provide legally defensible implementation of services, supports, accommodations, and modifications as provided by students' IEPsCollect data on and monitor individual student performance, adjusting instruction and supports as necessary to ensure progress toward IEP goalsUtilize assessment results, both formal and informal, to develop legally defensible and data-driven IEPsDevelop student schedules to minimize loss of general education instruction

    You possess…

    An associate of arts or sciences degree from a speech-language pathology assistant program accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges and approved by the Board, ORA bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an institution listed in the Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education handbook and completion of 70 hours field work/clinical experience from a Board-approved program, OR70 hours field work or clinical experience in a bachelor's program in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an institution listed in the Accredited Institutions of Postsecondary Education handbook which shall be evaluated by a speech-language pathology assistant program director or authorized designee.

    Alpha Public Schools is a public charter school network of four schools educating approximately 1,900 scholars in east San Jose.     A successful Assistant Principal:

    The successful Assistant Principal will work closely with other members of the school leadership team to uphold high expectations, foster social development, and facilitate the intellectual growth of our educators and scholars. School leadership team members at Alpha approach coaching and instruction with patience, creativity, and a growth mindset, while using activities and instructional methods that will motivate our staff and scholars. The successful Assistant Principal is reflective in their practice and is willing to engage in conversations around educational equity and inclusivity. At Alpha, you will uphold rigorous expectations for all staff and students, while leading from a place of empathy and understanding. The position works with key leaders in schools and organizational teams to push school-related strategic initiatives, develop and monitor related projects, and assist with implementation in the school site.

    The Assistant Principal is expected to:

    Embody the mission, vision, and core beliefs of the school and the Alpha Public Schools network

    Promote Alpha's staff culture, mindsets, and values by managing self and others in a manner that creates a healthy, high-achieving environment where staff feel challenged, supported, and valued Create opportunities for meaningful parent involvement and champion parent engagement.

    Execute all day-to-day leadership responsibilities:

    Support the principal in achieving ambitious school-wide vision, goals, and targets aligned to the Alpha network vision, goals, targets, and strategic priorities, leading students to master rigorous academic content that prepares them for collegeUse data-driven cycles with leaders and teachers to analyze academic and culture data, problem solve, and generate next steps and accountability systems

    Support teacher development

    Ensure high-rigor, high-engagement instruction in all classrooms through instructional coaching, professional development, and performance managementExecute on school-wide behavior management systems, expectations, and incentives across the school site and refine as necessary Plan and lead teacher professional development sessionsFormally supervise, observe, and evaluate school staffSupport the needs of diverse learners, by ensuring differentiated instruction in classrooms, appropriate tiered interventions, and attending IEP and 504
