General Description:
The Sheet Metal Laborer is directly responsible for working on jobsites assigned by their Project Manager. They will be required to work directly under the Commercial Sheet Metal Journeymen and provide support to Sheet Metal Apprentices. This includes, but is not limited to:
Assist with installation of HVAC ductwork, hangers, fittings, supports, and equipment.Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal tools and materials.Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.Assist with layouts prep jobsite and install prefabricated ductwork.Learn and understand the basics of commercial sheet metal/HVAC.Learn and understand how to read blueprints and layouts.Qualifications:
1+ year of construction or sheet metal experience.Understand and use hand tools (tape measure, pipe wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.)Be able and willing to handle power tools in a safe manner. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner to all levels inside and outside the company.Operate in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements (wear proper PPE, keep worksite organized, safe, and free of hazards). Job Duties:
Facility
Clean and maintain designated areas inside the facility daily, which includes but is not limited to:
Lobby
Restrooms
Breakrooms
Offices and/or classrooms
Conference rooms
Stairwells
Parking lot and public areas.
Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, wash windows, clean elevators/stairs, and empty trash.
Ensure the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is met.
Ground Maintenance
Remove ice and snow from walkways.
Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.
Miscellaneous
Make sure all doors, windows, entrances/exits are securely closed and locked if you are the last to leave the building.
Weekend Events
Clean and maintain designated areas assigned by customer.
