A Groundhand plays a crucial role in supporting construction and outdoor labor teams by handling equipment, performing manual tasks, and assisting with flagging duties. Working primarily within small teams of 2-5 members, the Groundhand ensures smooth operation on site under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Handle and maintain worksite equipment safely and efficientlyPerform manual labor tasks to support site operationsAssist with flagging and signaling to direct site traffic and ensure safetyCollaborate closely with a small team to complete daily objectivesReport directly to the Site Supervisor on task progress and site conditions
Required Qualifications
Strong teamwork skills to work effectively within small groupsClear communication abilities for coordination and reportingPractical common sense to handle worksite challenges responsibly
Preferred Qualifications
Entry-level experience in construction or outdoor labor environmentsValid driver’s license for mobility to and from job sites
