    We are seeking a Class A CDL OTR Company Truck Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds up to 80,000Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

     

    Responsibilities:

    Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working orderManeuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positionedCollects pickup and delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routesMaintains logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulationsReports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic, violations, or damage to the vehiclesSecure cargo for transport, using ropes, load locks, or any other devices needed to properly secure cargoConfirm piece/pallet/po count are accurate prior to signing for cargoDrives trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulationsDrives trucks with capacities greater than three tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver dry and refrigerated food productsPre-Cool reefer to proper temperature prior to loadingMonitor temperature of refrigerated commodities while load is in transitObtains receipts or signatures for delivered goods as well as confirm all bill of ladings are in hand prior to departing receiverReport any issues or incidents to dispatchInspect truck/trailer before and after tripPerforms basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairsChecks condition of trailer after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damageCouples or uncouples trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locksCranks trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure trailer/vehicleReads and interprets maps to determine vehicle routesPossible assist load/unload trucks with a pallet jackRemove debris from trailer, sweep trailer, trailer washoutThe company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
