  We are seeking a Per Diem Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Shore Gastroenterology in Oakhurst, NJ

  These practices has partnered with Allied Digestive Health which is one of the largest integrated networks of gastroenterology care centers in the nation with over 200 providers and 60 locations throughout New Jersey and New York.   Job Summary:

  The Infusion nurse will operate an infusion clinic to administer on an outpatient basis infusion therapy and monitor and record results for physicians.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Receives orders from physicians and schedules appointments for patientsReceives patients, explains procedures, checks vital signs and administers therapy, monitors reactions, and reports to physiciansProvide infusion treatments as directed by physiciansMonitor patients continuously to assess potential drug reactionsKeeps records for physicians and billing purposesReviews authorizations to confirm patients’ eligibility

  Qualifications:

  RN with NJ state license requiredAt least three years of clinical experience that includes training in infusion therapyOrganized manner to maintain schedule and generate reports in a timely fashionReassuring manner to deal with patients of all ages

This position involves direct patient interaction, including preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection. The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and sterile environment by properly sterilizing medical instruments and managing specimen processing. Additionally, this role requires effective communication skills to answer phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant contributes to delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the overall efficiency of the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques. Basic knowledge of medical instruments and sterilization procedures. Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working alongside nurse practitioners or in a similar clinical setting. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software. Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid. Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population. Prior experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories. Assist healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, during medical procedures and examinations. Perform phlebotomy and draw blood samples following proper protocols and safety standards. Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing and ensure timely delivery. Sterilize medical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment to prevent infection. Answer phones, schedule patient appointments, and manage front desk administrative duties. Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records as needed. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies regarding patient confidentiality and safety. Skills: The required skills such as medical assisting, phlebotomy, and specimen processing are essential for performing clinical tasks accurately and safely on a daily basis. Proficiency with medical instruments and sterilization ensures that all equipment is properly maintained to prevent infection and support patient safety. Drawing blood and taking vital signs are routine responsibilities that require precision and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, including answering phones and coordinating with nurse practitioners, facilitate smooth patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience.
