    Job Summary:
    The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely transporting, staging, receiving, and distributing materials throughout the production and warehouse operations using powered industrial equipment. This role supports manufacturing efficiency by ensuring materials are accurately moved, inventoried, and delivered to designated work areas while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and inventory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in operating reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, or similar powered industrial equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:Complete and document daily powered industrial truck inspection checklists prior to equipment operation.Report equipment maintenance needs, required repairs, or replacement parts to Maintenance and the appropriate Supervisor or Manager.Review work orders, material requests, or verbal instructions to determine material handling priorities.Safely operate reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, transport, and stage materials throughout the facility.Move pre-printed materials from storage racks to designated production or warehouse locations.Receive inventory into the appropriate storage locations and accurately pull materials for production.Assist with inventory management by maintaining accurate material placement and retrieval.Stage materials for upcoming production jobs and assist with banding skids and distributing materials as needed.Separate and identify production materials using established labeling and identification procedures.Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, shelves, tables, and other designated storage areas.Notify appropriate personnel of product variations or discrepancies to minimize production defects and waste.Report damaged racks, faulty equipment, and other workplace safety hazards promptly.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris, loose wood, plastic, and other hazards.Follow all company safety policies, security protocols, standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and ISO requirements.Perform other duties as assigned to support production, warehouse, and operational needs.

    Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environment.Ability to safely operate reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment.Forklift certification or the ability to obtain forklift certification.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Basic proficiency with intranet systems and Manufacturing Information Systems (MIS).Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
