Title: Production Supervisor Location: Cleveland, Ohio Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 We are a leading food manufacturer seeking a hands-on and motivated Production Supervisor to lead our shift operations. This role is critical to the daily success of our production floor, directly overseeing food safety, quality, productivity, and our frontline team members. What You'll Do Provide direct, hands-on supervision to hourly production team members on your shift, ensuring a safe and efficient operation. Champion safety as the top priority, enforcing all OSHA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company safety procedures. Serve as a frontline leader for Food Safety and Quality, strictly enforcing HACCP principles, SOPs, SSOPs, and allergen control programs. Manage daily production schedules, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to achieve production goals, meet quality standards, and fulfill on-time delivery commitments. Implement and sustain Lean principles on the shop floor, including 5S and visual management, to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Train, mentor, and develop team members on proper procedures, food safety protocols, and quality standards, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews. Troubleshoot production and equipment issues in real-time, coordinating with maintenance and quality assurance to minimize downtime. Ensure product quality by conducting routine checks, enforcing standards, and leading root cause analysis for defects or quality deviations. Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to company policies, including all GMP and food safety requirements (e.g., proper hygiene, dress code). Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-integrity team environment, promoting high morale and engagement. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or USDA/FDA-regulated environment . 1+ years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., Team Lead, Supervisor, or Group Leader) is required. Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing principles and a basic understanding of continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Basic proficiency with computers for data entry, email, and reporting. A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field is a plus.
