We are seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a client with Cerebral Palsy who is bedbound. The client is able to communicate their needs and values caregivers who are respectful, attentive, and committed to providing quality, person-centered care while maintaining their privacy and independence.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with personal care, including hygiene, showering, brief changes, and catheter care.
Safely perform transfers using a Hoyer Lift.
Prepare meals based on the client's preferences.
Provide light housekeeping, including cleaning the living room and light vacuuming.
Care for household pets, including a guinea pig and supervising a blind dog while outdoors.
Hand medications to the client when requested.
Document any refusals of care according to agency policy.
Follow all safety protocols and report emergencies to both emergency services and the office.
RequirementsExperience with Hoyer Lift transfers preferred (training available for the right candidate).
Comfortable providing personal care for a bedbound client.
Patient, dependable, and respectful of client privacy.
Comfortable around small pets and dogs.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Able to work independently and respond promptly to client needs.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Ability to pass required background checks and meet company hiring requirements.
